Leto is a simple and beautiful book management app that helps you to easily keep track of the books you are currently reading, would like to read or already have.

Adding books to Leto is super easy and fast. Just by scanning its barcode, the book cover, title, author and number of pages will be automatically added. You can also import your book collection from other sources such as Goodreads or Calibre.

When you add a new book, Leto allows you to specify a wide variety of details for a better description of the book. The available parameters range from the title and author of the work, to the genre, the original language of the text, whether it is written in verse or prose, identifiers such as ISBN and Thema codes, and even its dimensions and weight. It will not be necessary for you to include all that information at first, but you will have it at your disposal if you wish.

Leto allows you to create smart book collections based on a wide variety of parameters, so that you can have your books grouped according to the criteria that you consider the most appropriate. Specifically, you can keep your library organized by creating collections based on author, language, read-status, publisher, genre, and so on.

Each book you add to Leto has a read-status, which can be: “To Read”, “Reading”, “Finished” or “Left Unfinished”. Leto automatically creates different book collections based on their status so that you can have them well organized. In addition, you can keep track of your reading progress by indicating the current page of the books in question.

With Leto, you can keep all your books stored in iCloud and synced seamlessly across all of your iOS devices so you can access your library from your, iPhone and iPad.

My new favorite app!

I am the most disorganized, scatter brained individual you’ll ever meet…and my collection of nearly 600 books that are strewn everywhere is a great representation of this. I needed help!!! When I found Leto I was so excited and it did not disappoint. I am an avid reader, so getting my books cataloged has been wonderful. I have books dating from the late 1800’s to current and I have been able to get them entered, no matter the age, with the multiple data entry options available on the app. The scanning option is quick and easy, and for the older books…or those not recognized via scan, the manual option is user friendly and only takes but a minute. One of the greatest things I discovered along the way though is that if you have an issue, question or comment, Leto is more than willing to help and they are quick to respond. Trust me, that rarely happens. I will be recommending this app to all of my friends and family. Thanks Leto!

Issue with Page Marker

I’ve been using this app for a month now and there’s this issue with the Currently Reading Page Marker feature. It won’t save when you change it so often times it’ll still have the page you last marked and not the most recent. Every once in a while it’ll work properly but it’s pretty annoying to have to deal with.

i.e. You read up to page 200 of your book and try to update your placement but it doesn’t update and instead goes back to page 160 where you last stopped.
