Description
Pictures to text FAST and EXACT! No need to type in that profound poem, that serious signage. Just snap a picture of it to scan in the text.
“We found LetterSnap to be astonishingly fast in recognizing and getting the results.” — TechPP.
“Note that all of these are complicated tasks… But the text recognition still, for the most part, worked.” — TechRepublic.
“It’s kind of the ultimate utility app, and we can’t believe we’ve lived this long without it on our phones.” — Brit + Co.
You can then post it, tweet it, message it, email it, make it into a note. Or if you have a Mac, you can even AirDrop it or paste it straight into your work. Surely a thousand words is worth a picture!
Google Cloud Vision powers LetterSnap. So you can throw most anything at it — weird fonts, colored backgrounds, Arabic*, Chinese, Hindi* and Japanese words, even text at an angle — and Google’s advanced algorithms and muscular machines will work out the text in your picture quick smart.
Looking for some text you snapped last week? The app keeps it all for you sorted by date — pick the one you want or clear away the ones you don’t. Or search for the text direct from the iPhone or iPad Home Screen. Whether it’s today or this year, LetterSnap has your back.
* with language hinting
Note: the app comes with 10 free snaps, you can buy additional snaps in batches of 200, 450 and 950.

Ratings and Reviews
Meh
Saw this app on Product Hunt and decided to give it a chance.
Took a photo of my kid's sweatshirt and it didn't get anything.
Did it again and it got about 1/3rd of the letters.
Would be nice if the app showed you the image behind the text translation so you could flag what is wrong. They could then use this info to improve the engine.
There should be a pay option to submit the photo and get a human assisted transfer/translation.
Payment really?!?
I would give it a 2 1/2 if I could but it's a good app it picks up on books great but you can only take about five pictures and then you have to pay if you're somebody like me that has learning issues you don't have the time and money to be paying just to read your book
