Not entirely sure what’s going on with your app lately but recently it can never connect. You have to be DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF THE LOCK before it “might” actually work properly. Super disappointed since we’ve since bought multiple family members this lock for their houses . . . raving the entire time about how great the lock & app are only to now be disappointed in how it works, “if & when” it actually works. If I need to stand directly in front of my lock to unlock it (whilst my dog waits as patiently as he possibly can to go outside to do his business) then the app tells me over & over how an error occurred & it was unable to unlock or lock the door, I may as well have just used the key. Please fix this & you’d have the entire star system (5 stars) for this product & app. Fingers crossed this gets resolved sooner then later.

Best feature - auto unlock - when I pull into the driveway, I know I know my door is automatically unlocked and I can walk in unencumbered without needing to pull out keys. Coolest feature - when I walk up to the door with a group of friends and I use my watch to unlock the door! Most reassuring feature when I’m sitting in bed at night just about to doze off and I asked Siri if all my doors are locked and she confirms that all my doors are locked! I have 3 locks installed 1 bolt and 2 Lock +. They all work perfectly.
I’m assuming the issues that people complain about have everything to do with installation. Doors have to be true and your lock has to be within range. Simple. If my door jams it’s because it’s not closed properly and if you want Apple Home Keys to work you have to have good range. Get a hub close and all the features work flawlessly. And if the Internet is out, the product works perfectly with Bluetooth and the keypad.
I used HelloTech to install 1 of my locks because the door wasn’t in great shape. HelloTech got the door trued up and adjusted the hinges and plate so the bolt closes without any issues. They made it so easy and they spent time making sure all the features I wanted to set up worked! Worth having professionally installed! Best smart lock and built like a Swiss watch!

I bought this lock because my wife frequently misplaces her house keys and I wanted a smart lock that appeared to be just a regular lock. Well, be careful what we wish for.

The most important functionality for a smart lock is that it reliably locks and unlocks your door when you need it to. As measured by this criteria Level Lock+ and this app are a complete failure. As countless others have mentioned, the connectivity is flakey, unlocking with Apple Watch is inconsistent, and for some baffling reason, the app does a terrible job of monitoring and reporting the battery status. This last point is especially problematic given that you can leave your house and lock the door without a key, and then have no juice left in the battery to unlock the door when you return home and there would have been nothing from the tones coming from the lock to push notifications sent to you device to alert you that your battery is low. How is it that such a critical piece of information be so buried in the app AND there is no proactive notification. Whether this is a terrible design flaw or extremely product management, it’s completely unacceptable.

This lock and app are SO unreliable that we have had to resort to carrying physical keys with us which defeats the purpose of getting this overpriced lock in the first place. So please, save your money and sanity and do not buy this product. I sure wish I hadn’t.
