Love the lectures. App is not as good as it could be.

I love Liberty Classroom lectures, these are often what I play in my vehicle on my way to and from work, as well as when I travel for work.

Unfortunately I haven’t found much use for the app past listening to the lectures. I will start off by saying that the ability to download the lecture is a definite plus as I’m not always in a good service area, however it isn’t possible to navigate to the screen within the app which the lecture is played on without some sort or service or WiFi. Another annoyance is the fact that the app refreshes almost every time I open it, so if I haven’t made note of where I was, I need to spend some time figuring that out. My last complaint is regarding the course resource links, which I have yet to try one and had it work, none of that material is accessible through the app for me.

As I said, the lectures themselves are outstanding and worth every penny of my life membership to Liberty Classroom, however it would be nice to see some improvements to the app so that some of the course material is accessible without having to log on using my computer.

In Pursuit of Liberty ,

Great material. Not so great mobile interface.

I love Tom Woods and most of everything he puts out. I have enjoyed the lectures on Liberty Classroom and I look forward to digesting more of them. I am grateful for the opportunity to have access to such a wealth of knowledge.

That being said, there are some important improvements that could be made to the iOS app. For example, some of the courses have links to extra resources below the video and mp3 lectures, though the links are not accessible. In addition, the lessons should have a speed adjuster, so that users are able to speed up the video/mp3 when they are used to listening at a faster speed (1.5x, 1.75x, 2.0x, etc.) This would make it much easier to listen and pay attention to the lecturers who speak slowly.

Lastly, it would be very useful if there were a way to save the listener's progress on each course. Currently, it does not save the last location I listen to before closing out the app and many times the entire app refreshes without any prompting on my part. It could be a problem due to something I'm not doing on my end. If this could be fixed by doing a few things on my end, I'd love to know how to remedy the situation.

Those are just a few suggestions from personal experience with the app. Thanks for all you do!

God's Brain ,

Awesome idea, poor execution

I'm a relatively new convert to liberty classroom, and love the content! However, the app is rudimentary at best, at least in terms of the most basic of functions: download audio. The button is non-functional. I can stream the audio, but that's sub-optimal when I'm in my car in a hazy cellular zone. Even the "back" button is iffy. Please fix! I love the content, and I want to recommend the app to my not-yet-converted friends!
