Ratings and Reviews
A good start
Needs some improvements overall, but I love a good idle game and this has the workings of it. Titles for Vices, Maps, and Knowledge pages are blocked by the iPhone15’s camera notch. The ability to look at your available schemes while you have others running would be nice. Also a way to rearrange your schemes or add to the beginning or middle of one you have set up would make things less annoying. This might already be a thing that can be done, however, I haven’t figured it out and am thus limited to deleting everything and building from scratch every time I want to make an adjustment. A better tutorial and explanation of what’s going on would also be helpful. Glad to support the dev with the purchase and hope to see improvements down the line.
Awesome concept, could use quality of life improvements
The concept was awesome. Loved the idea of looping. Some small features would have easily made this game more fun rather than tedious. I look forward to future projects from this developer.
Suggestions
Big quality of life
***-ability to save presets of actions
-A way to obtain the ability to see a threat progression bar as you are building the list. As the game gets longer you have to wait a very long time waiting for all of the actions to play through in order to see where you land and if you have everything right. This was great for early game but late game it turned from fun to tedious hitting play and waiting a long time to see if your actions play out without you dying before the list completes
Smaller quality of life changes
-A way to increase max away time
Has the bones of a good game - but killed by offline limits
This could be a very good incremental game, but I’m putting it down unless a key design decision is changed.
The goal of the game is to incrementally raise stats through a set of programmed objectives. Half the fun is discovering new abilities - the other half is efficiently programming sequences to maximize stat gain over time.
The problem is that the game will only run your sequence 10 times while offline. Sometimes, the most efficient sequence will take 10+ minutes so this would have you log on every couple of hours or so. Other times, the sequence is 15 seconds and this is a showstopper.
As a fully premium game with no ad support, I see no design rule for this limitation. Other games will have a maximum time offline such as 24 hours - this one requires you to babysit what is essentially watching bars grow.
I’d pay a small IAP to remove this, but won’t play the game anymore with this in place.
