Description

This extension allows for easily creating a special link to the currently selected text on a page via the context menu. When opening such a special link, a compatible browser will scroll the selected text into view and highlight it.

Usage instructions:

1) Select the text that you want to link to.
2) Right-click and choose "Copy Link to Selected Text" from the context menu.
3) If the link creation succeeded, the selected text will be briefly highlighted in yellow.
4) Paste your link wherever you want to share it.
Pro-tip: use a keyboard shortcut (by default: Command+Shift+L or Ctrl+Shift+L).

This App Does NOT Copy Links, Just as Safari Finally Enables Fragmented Text Support

For the past few years, Safari refused to support fragmented text in links. Now, just when these links have begun to work, it seems this app no longer works and cannot generate links! Please Fix

Great but Safari ignores the tag

I doubt this is the fault of the app developer; I suspect the issue is with Apple. I find this works well for pages viewed in Chrome but I'm running current versons of Big Sur and Safari annd Chrome on a MacBook Pro and Safari doesn't, as Chrome does, display correctly the URLs I've generated with Link Text Fragment display. When Chrome loads the URL, the page jumps to the designated anchor, where the text is highlighted). Paste the same URL in Safari and the correct page is displayed from the top. It doesn't jump to the designated anchor, nor is the text highlighted. I'll text it on my iOS devices and the non-Apple devices I keep around for test views and if I have good results, I'll update.

App has 1 job - Nope - Can't do it!

How is this possible? The app has literally one job: Provide me with the link! That's it! Nope. Could not do it. I am a reasonable person and will happily change my review to 4-5 stars if they will get it to work and/or show me how to use it.
