Description
Look up federal disclosure filings to determine lobbyist status of an individual or organization. Filings are pulled fresh from the House and Senate every 24 hours.
The lobbyist gift ban prohibits the acceptance of gifts of over $25 in value from unauthorized sources.
Lobbyist Lookup API was created during the Northern Virginia National Day of Civic Hacking. It address the National Science Foundation's Ethics Challenge to create a quick way for federal employees to lookup lobbyist status of an individual or organization to assist with determining gift recipient eligibility.
Lobbyist Lookup App uses the API to search House and Senate lobbyist filings.
This app is meant for reference and is not legal advice. You are responsible for accurately determining gift eligibility through multiple means.
