Description

Introduced in Xcode 15, String Catalogs help to manage your app's localisations with all languages centralised in a single document. String Catalogs contain advanced features for handling plural and device variations, but these can be difficult to work with and understand. With Localizr, you can take your localisations to the next level with a simplified variation-editing user interface and preview all combinations of your strings with Localizr's advanced String Preview feature.

• Advanced Pluralisation Editor - Simply select a numeric token to create a plural variation, then adjust each variation using its own dedicated editor. The required kinds of plurals for the selected language are shown by default, with the ability to add others if required.

• Plural Substitutions Made Easy - Multiple pluralisations in one string? No problem. Localizr makes it easy to create and manage the plural substitutions that make up your localisation. Substitution names will even auto-complete in the string editor.

• String Previews - Want to check how your string will look with its tokens populated? Simply open the String Preview panel and enter values for the tokens. Localizr will even format numbers according to the locale of the language being displayed.

• Grammatical Inflection - Introduced in iOS 15 and macOS 12, automatic grammatical agreement minimises the number of pluralisations that need to be created and localised manually. Using Localizr's powerful String Preview mechanism, you can check that your inflected attributes will display as you expect without having to build and run your app, in any language that supports grammatical agreement.

• Token Completion - Auto-completion for placeholder tokens, with inline help for token types. Can't remember if you need %u or %U? %llf or %llF? Localizr's inline token-type documentation has you covered.

• Device Variations - Target individual devices with ease - simply choose the device for which you wish to create a variation from the inline menu and begin editing.
