A notepad with a lock.
Type a note and close the window — done. LockNote encrypts your text with AES-256 and a password only you know. No account, no cloud service, no proprietary vault. Just you, your note, and your password.
ENCRYPTED NOTES THAT TRAVEL
Every note is saved as a compact, encrypted .ln file you can carry anywhere — on your Mac, on a USB stick, in the cloud, or attached to an email. And the free LockNote 2 for Windows opens the same files, so your notes move freely between Mac and PC.
ONE PASSWORD. NOTHING ELSE TO SET UP.
There is nothing to configure and no account to create. Choose a password when you save your note — that's it. The encryption key is derived from your password using modern key derivation and never leaves your device. Not even we could read your notes.
DRAG, DROP, ENCRYPT
Already have text files? Drag any .txt file into the LockNote window and it instantly becomes an encrypted note.
HOW IT WORKS
1. Type your note
2. Close the window and choose a password
3. Carry the .ln file anywhere — USB stick, cloud, mail
