Mit der log BAND APP können Schnittbilder für Blockbandsägen erstellt werden. In zwei einfachen Schritten erstellst du ein Schnittbild für einen Stamm und eine Liste der entstehenden Schnittholz-Sortimente.

Definiere die Sortimente, die du schneiden möchtest einmalig selber. Deine Sortimente werden auf einem Stammquerschnitt so verteilt, dass sie den Stamm optimal ausnutzen und der Verschnitt möglichst gering bleibt.

Aus dem Zopfdurchmesser und der Längeneingabe des Stammes errechnet log BAND das optimale Schnittbild. Eine Liste mit dem Ertrag der Schnittholz-Sortimenten siehst du bereits vor dem ersten Schnitt.

Mit log BAND kann Jeder das Beste aus seinem Holz schneiden. Die grafische Oberfläche macht das Wälzen von Sortimentslisten und Hilfsfunktionen unnötig. Jede Änderung von Zopfdurchmesser oder Sortiment wird sofort auf das Schnittbild und die Sortimentsliste übertragen. Somit kann man abwägen und einstellen, welche Schnittart zu den persönlichen Anforderungen passt.

Lass dir ausgeben, wo du schneiden musst. Außer dem ist auch alles ein bisschen schöner und intuitiver.

Very helpful for DIY millers

This is a great yield planning tool for my small home based sawmill where a one man operation need to plan and optimize yield on a project by project basis. Didn’t give a perfect five only because I see some control over board quantity and other minor upgrades that would make this indefensible.

Shows potential

The core concept of generating cutting patterns is good. I don’t know of any other app that does this.

Unfortunately, the input screens are clunky. The pull-down lists don’t work well. Numeric input screens sometimes include a decimal point key and sometimes don’t (this is a big deal for imperial units).

The total volume for a pattern can only be found by marking the log as done and going to the log list, which makes it difficult to compare the yield of different patterns. Placing the total volume on the same screen as the yield-efficiency slider would be much more helpful.

I hope the developer addresses these issues and concentrates on making the app do one thing really well: provide several cutting patterns for a log quickly and easily and make it simple to compare between them. That is an app I would gladly pay for.

It’s ok, but needs some improvements

I use this app on my phone and it opens the dialer for number input, so there is no decimal point.

Many times you could get more pieces out of the log than the app shows. It likes to stay far away from the edges with most pieces.

There needs to be a wayne allowance slide bar. Sometimes wayne is perfectly acceptable.
