Longwalks is a social self-care app that helps you discover more about yourself, your friends, & the world. It’s quite simple: you answer one great question every day with your group of friends or within topic-based clubs. As the first social platform designed for mental health, Longwalks is a kind space for supporting each other, practicing self-care, & celebrating our shared humanity.

Answer daily questions for self-care with your group of friends or the public Longwalks community. More than a daily journal prompt, each Longwalks question sparks meaningful conversations about self-care that improve your relationships, helping you discover more about yourself, your friends, & the community. Each day of the week has an intentional theme so you can build mindfulness habits, track mental health, spark meaningful conversations, & practice social self-care:
Mindfulness Habits & Questions
Truthful Journal Prompts
Vulnerability Conversation Starters
Identity Questions
Lifestyle Conversation Starters
Joy & Emotional Wellbeing Questions
Gratitude Journal Prompts

Besides the daily conversation starters, have a meaningful conversation in a club. Each club is like a shared journal with the public community, where you can have a conversation about specific topics & practice social self-care. Answer club questions about lifestyle topics like parenting, gardening, social work, teaching, & social justice - or practice mindfulness habits like affirmations, journaling, self-care, & writing. Track your emotional wellbeing & emotional health with our mental health club, where you can practice social self-care with meaningful conversations. Our clubs have conversation starters for self-care, gratitude, healthy habits, body positivity, & more.

Create your own groups & spark meaningful conversations. Grab a group of friends to answer conversation starters, share compliments, start a gratitude journal, spark joy, track habits, & more within a shared journal. Answering questions in groups helps build deeper relationships, track emotional health, & practice social self-care! Focus on relationships, emotional wellbeing, & mental health, without relying on social media.

Longwalks is the first app designed for mental health - it’s healthy social self-care! There are no ads, public like counts, or public friend lists. Everyone answers the same question like a daily journal, & no data is sold to advertisers. No social anxiety - just self worth, self-care, positivity, & support. Unlike social media, Longwalks is a shared journal where you can truly focus relationships with social self-care & build a lifestyle that supports your mental health. Oprah Winfrey uses “this wonderful app called Longwalks” as a mindfulness tool for more meaningful conversations. Experts like Brene Brown share the importance of vulnerability, gratitude, & journaling for relationships & mental health. Longwalks questions are informed by focus groups, communication theory, media psychology, & mindfulness.

One of a kind

So as long as I’ve been focused on my mental health(a little over a year now) I have never come across an app that is so helpful and precise!
More so, I have always been on the hunt for an app that helps me connect with my thoughts and find ways to put my feelings into words, it also helps me stay on top of my passion for writing and quick thinking. I have had this for about 5 days and I’m already starting to try and make it a habit to write and really think about how I feel that day, I try to be as honest as I can because this is just something I would want to keep to myself for now but I also love that there is absolutely no judgement!
I would love it if we could have certain section such as a diary of some sort.
I love this app and I plan to always use it to help me further help myself and keep track of my thoughts!
Thank you to the creators and tithe company who maintain the app!

Delete your social media and replace it with this!

This is so unbelievably special. I deleted my social media a few months ago because I couldn’t stand the mess of content, ads, and harshly comparing myself to others. I realized scrolling through social media made me feel terrible every day. Since going off all online platforms, I do miss the ability to check in with the people I really care about all at once. But then I discovered this app and it is a GAME CHANGER! I’ve invited my close friends to participate. It is absolutely lovely and wonderful. It’s therapy for you and the people you care about. This is meaningful connection. Honestly I want to support this app in any way I can. I would love to keep it growing. Seriously I would donate money to keep this in the air! Thank you a million times over!

What great timing

I came across an ad on Instagram for this app. I initially thought it was a social blog and was initially disappointed. I’m happy I got my friends to make an account before I was dismayed.
Thank you Longwalks you have helped me put words to my experiences. I started working with covid+ patients when I got this app and organizing my emotions and stress was unexpected and great. The ability for my best friends and I to continue having conversations daily on topics we would otherwise never have brought up has been wonderful. We all feel extra love at a time where it’s extra needed ;)

I have one suggestion- I would like the ability to add my own second prompt to a day and have the ability to send that prompt to my friends.
