  • Annoying fake match notification

    cldevdad

I don’t know who on the development team thought it’d be cool to show a notification like you got a match, only for it to be an advertisement to make an in app purchase. Absolutely mind blowing that this happens in the “Matches” tab. It literally gets hopes up and creates false excitement that maybe you got a match - nope, it’s just the Loosid team asking you to buy something. Good designers know the “principle of least astonishment” theory, which this stupid “feature” violates.

Hello cldevdad! We’ve been working hard to fight scammers by adding tools like VPN detection, photo verification, and constant monitoring. We know it’s still not perfect. The good news: this week we’re launching a new system designed to block fake accounts more effectively than ever. We’re confident it’ll make a big difference and hope you’ll give it another shot.As for canceling your subscription, it works just like any other app in the App Store, you don’t need to contact us to cancel. Our support chat is simply there to help if you’re unsure how Apple’s services work.We truly care about supporting recovery and are constantly improving based on feedback.

  • Great idea, needs a rebuild

    ericlee6000

2star frustrating app, is filled with fake accounts that are marketing scams like work from home job offers and crypto offers. The app has a limited pool, but the obvious problem is it just needs to be scrapped and rebuilt. Updating or improving is a waste of time, its functionality is VERY poor. It will not run for more than five minutes without crashing. Profiles disappear, convos disappear, then pop back up a week later, parts of your info will disappear. It’s a complete mess. THE IDEA IS EXCELLENT!!! I would LOVE if this worked. Absolutely do NOT spend a dime on this, someone buy the rights or idea, or build a competitor and a proper app. This one should have never left a build workstation it’s fairly embarrassing as a finished product

Just to clarify, the disappearing profiles and conversations you mentioned aren’t glitches. They happen when we ban fake accounts from the platform to protect our community. Once a profile is removed, any associated chats will also disappear. We’ve added an in-app message to explain this to users — if you’re not seeing it, it’s likely because you’re using an outdated version of the app. Please update to the latest version to ensure everything works properly.

  • Misleading App Full of Fake and AI Profiles

    $2023$

This app is a complete disappointment. Almost every profile I interacted with turned out to be fake — many used stolen or AI-generated photos, and some even sent computer-created images pretending to be real people. It’s obvious that there’s little to no verification process for users, which makes the entire experience feel like a scam.I strongly advise the developers to implement real photo or video verification before allowing people to message paying members. Until then, this platform is a waste of time and money and gives the impression of being a setup to exploit users who are genuinely

Please don’t waste your time or get your hopes up with this app. The only thing you will find is bots trying to scam you. Pictures are taken directly from Instagram , I’m sure the real owners would be horrified their likeness is being used to scam people in recovery . The company says that they tried verification only to find no one used it. Hmm… Wonder why . It’s because no one is actually here . It’s just a scam . And scamming people in recovery, I can’t think of a more disgusting business. Honestly shame on them . Don’t waste your time. I gave it 1 star because negative wasn’t an option .

    Developer Response

Hello Rowland, We take your accusations seriously, but they are simply not true. Our platform does not tolerate fake accounts or scams, our team actively monitors and bans suspicious profiles every day. We’ve implemented verification systems, VPN and proxy detection, and rely on our community to report any questionable behavior so we can take swift action.

  • Lose Loosid

    PR_GMR

An app for sober people looking for connection should be a hit, but Loosid is a wasted opportunity. It’s full of fake profiles with generic text generated by ChatGPT. You’ll be matched with suspect bots that can’t sustain any chat convo. And you’ll see the same fake profiles regurgitated at you again even if you swipe left on them. The baffling Marketplace tab—where you’re invited to spend more money on countless other sober websites and products—is just a weak feature meant to prop up an app that’s flopping as badly as other sad dating apps. Just re-install Tinder and describe yourself as sober.

    Developer Response

We’re aware of the concerns you raised and are actively working to improve the experience. Loosid is built for a niche community, which means we don’t have the same volume of users as mainstream dating apps, but we’re focused on quality and safety. The profiles you’re seeing are not AI-generated, and we’ve implemented photo verification, VPN detection, and profile monitoring to fight fake accounts. As for the Marketplace, it wasn’t added randomly, it was requested by our community. We created it to offer visibility and discounts on sober-friendly products and services that can support people on their recovery journey. It’s meant to be a resource, not a distraction.

  • Remember which log in method you use each timer

    CJFalk

Heads up if you set up profile using google login at the outset (for example) make sure you note it down and always use google to sign in. If you log in using a different sign in it won’t recognize that you already have an account, which happened to me, so I inadvertently created a 2nd profile months ago and wondered why not getting any likes/matches (the likes were happening on my other profile and I had no idea for months). I finally figured it out and unfortunately the app is unable to recognize if you orig signed up using a different login method. On top of that, the restore purchases button doesn’t work so I’mNot sure why that’s even showing on their payment/landing page. I hope the best for the app and leaders behind Loosid as a sober dating app is a great idea but it’s pretty discouraging to figure out this duplicate profile sitch (and I’ve seen some legit account women on app who have more than 1 profile so I’m not the only 1 who made this mistake). How many people potentially miss the chance to match and meet because of this glitch? Tough enough as it is to meet people w/out this issue.

    Developer Response

Hello CJFalk! Thank you for your feedback. It’s important to use the same login method consistently to avoid creating duplicate profiles. For instance, just like you need to remember and use the same username and password to access an account, our app requires the same login method each time.If you originally signed up with Google, please continue using Google to log in. This will ensure your profile remains consistent and you won’t miss out on any matches or interactions.
