Yes, this is a real review

I don’t normally leave reviews for games but this is one of my favorite games I’ve played in a while. I really enjoyed the storyline and the quality of the graphics. I liked that the game wasn’t overly challenging but was just challenging enough to stay engaged. I also liked how the game ended and felt satisfied with the way the story ends unlike some of the other games I’ve played. I’m honestly really surprised by the negative review accusing all of the other positive reviews of being fake and saying that they couldn’t stand playing the game and deleted it. I personally think this game was worth every penny and I will definitely play through it again. I get that it might not be for everyone but I think it’s worth it especially if you enjoy point and click adventure games with an interesting/unique storyline.

Really glad to hear you enjoyed Lost Echo and thank you for the kind words of support :)

Lost Echo is indeed not a game for everyone, it requires that something clicks for you and it wins you over, and that can't happen for all players, and that's okay.

We are attempting to make the sequel much easier to get into, which needs to happen because it is a much weirder / unique game at its core :)

Thank you for the review.

Love love love

I think reviews must disappear after updates. I’ve def worked them before! This game is still amazing, I’ve played it about every 3 years since I bought it. I’m still can’t wait for the next game by you guys, I’m patiently following! Hopefully it’s still in the works! Anyway try this game, it holds up & has an amazing story, you won’t regret it!

Developer Response ,

Thank you :D We did "reset" the reviews once before a few years ago as a test, not sure if it was the correct choice.

We are definitely still working on the sequel. We posted a small sneak peak of the tutorial section for it, you can find it on our website.

A well-made game with an over-reliance on dialogue choices

The future-city screenshots are what sold me on this originally, and I was hoping for a bit larger world to explore. But probably a smart choice to keep the story fairly self-contained, considering it is rife with the expected sci-if tropes.

Much of the story progression is based on selecting the right dialogue choices, and then having to go back to previous NPC conversations and preening the haystack again. Not exactly my preferred style of gameplay. Also an iPad touch screen doesn't suit a few of the mini-games all that well.

Still, it was enjoyable to play through and would definitely purchase the sequel when it is released...

Developer Response ,

Thank you for the review, hope you will enjoy the sequel as well when we manage to release it!

I'm interested in hearing more about why you think the mini-games don't suit the iPad screen (in case those are easily fixable, or in case it's things we can avoid doing in the sequel (although there are less minigames in the sequel)).

Don't get me wrong, we also have plenty misgivings about the minigames, but from the top of my head I can't think of anything that would make the iPad experience worse than other platforms, so if you have any insight there I'd be interested to hear it.
