This app can generate SMPTE linear time code for testing. SMPTE timecode is a set of cooperating standards to label individual frames of video or film with a timecode.

The audio output generated from this app is not for human listening, it is for controlling a video playback on another device.

You can run the app in the background when your device's screen is locked. You can output the audio though the headphone jack, airplay or bluetooth.

In the full version, you are able to:
- Select different frame rate: 23.976, 24, 25, 29.97, 30
- Set the starting time.
- Set the ending time to automatically stop or alternatively continue playing until you press stop.

In the free version:
- Select different frame rate: 23.976, 24, 25, 29.97, 30
- Timecode starts from the current device time.
- Automatically stops generating and playing at midnight or press stop manually.

Plays for a fraction of a second

I opened the app, went through the quick easy menus, and then hit start, only to get a VERY quick burst of LTC sound output, then it stops. Seems like a bug that needs fixing, and then I can update the review and rating!

Should’ve read the reviews.

If you are looking to generate a file that you can insert into an edit with this app, you will not be able to do so.

Does not work!

Tried this app and it does not work. In the sample screen grabs it shows options to select the frame rate. In the actual app that screen is blank! It deserves zero stars!
