No music compatibility!
Please fix the music compatibility issue. I refuse to run without music and that makes live coaching useless for me. I have several other apps that allow you to listen to your music and still hear live coaching tips. So, I know you can do it too. That’s why I only gave 3 stars.
The overall rating is great. It is helping fine tune my mechanics. I was pretty on the spot with some of my mechanics such as forefoot landing and hip rotation. It picked up on my hip drop and that’s something I’m working on correcting. This tool is pretty damned cool. The only complaint I have is the voice coaching. Little background...I’m a night owl and a night runner. Living in the desert southwest in West Texas, night running is an ideal way to run and stay out of the 100+ degree heat. I listen to podcasts and audiobooks in order to help me pass the miles. The coaching kicks in fairly often. When the coaching prompts come in, it mutes the podcast out. It doesn’t pause the podcast or audiobook. It keeps playing in the background. The coaching always kicks in right at a good part and I have to struggle to backtrack a minute or two. When I catch back up on cadence, the coaching kicks in to tell me I’m back on track and again mutes out my podcast. It’s a never ending fight. That’s my only complaint. Overall this thing is great
The first run was a little confusing but after that we were best friends. She talks through my music and gives feedback as I’m doing things- good and bad which is nice. We work on one thing at a time and the feedback is solid numbers to beat so it’s clear. I also like that every so often she’ll check on my posture and either compliment me or tell me to run tall, engage my posture and roll my shoulders back.
I’m giving it 5 stars because it’s doing it’s job. I’m just hoping that it helps me fix my running posture so I can run longer than 5 miles without hurting myself. We’re at run number 4 and I’m definitely noticing a difference in my running, not sure if it’s good or not.
