Such a relief

Lustre makes shopping so much easier. Take for example my new keyboard, the one I bought through Lustre and am currently typing with. Whereas before Lustre I would’ve had to browse through endless, almost identical options, always feeling unsure about what to get or how much to spend, this time Lustre just pulled up the best ones. I made my decision within minutes and now feel like I got a great keyboard at a very reasonable price. Lustre gives me all the satisfaction of finding a great deal without having to scroll for hours to find it. Right now the extension seems to focus mostly on electronics, but as they add more products to their rankings, I imagine I’ll use it for everything I buy online.

Literally my favorite app of all time.

This app is incredible. Seriously. It's essentially like Metacritic for products. It's like Consumer Reports on steroids. It sounds stupid and I swear I'm not a paid representitive but it's actually changed my life for the better. I've found so many cool products with this service. It uses AI to get product reviews from reputable product reviewers (CNET, NYTimes, PC Mag) and averages the scores together to give you a metascore.

That alone would be great, but they take it a step further and when you're surfing Amazon or Walmart it actually shows you the agregated product score for whatever you're searching for right on the Amazon page. So like, if you're searching for blenders, inline with the Amazon listings will be the aggrigated expert rathings

I sometimes just look at the site to keep up to date on what products are highly recomended.

It's from the developers of, which is another amazing site for ranking services.

Seriously.. try this extension. There are zero downsides and a bajillion upsides.

It can see ALL of your browsing history

I don't see why the app and extension needs to see ALL of my browsing history.

On second thought, I uninstalled it when I saw how extensive the data leak was.

you don't use the internet —
the internet uses YOU.

Developer Response ,

Hi there!

I'm Gaber the Head of QA at Lustre. We don't actually collect your browsing history! That's an unfortunate consequence of the way that Apple set up their app permissions; they're not granular enough to cover the way in which we need access to the sites you visit.

The reason that you need to approve those permissions is so that our extension can identify the page it's on so it knows when to show up. Unfortunately, there's no way to get around it unless Apple improves the way they categorize permissions.

Moreover, while we do collect some data, it's completely anonymized and we don't use it for any nefarious purposes! Here's our privacy policy, if you'd like to read about it in more detail -

And if you still aren't convinced, you can use our website - - instead of our extension!

Hope this helped, please let me know if you have any further questions or concerns! :)
