This app requires a Lutron total home control system (RadioRA® 2 or HomeWorks® QS) programmed using the appropriate version of design and programming software along with the Lutron Connect Bridge.*


Control from anywhere
Control lights, shades, temperature, keypads, and more in the comfort of your home or from anywhere in the world – the office, the airport, the beach – set your home to a comfortable temperature when returning from a trip, ensure lights aren't left on and shades aren't left open while you're away.

Personalize your keypad buttons
Add, edit, and remove button settings on your own. Make temporary adjustments for special occasions, or permanent changes to match your preferences.

Right on schedule
Schedule scenes to happen automatically at set times of day, or based on sunrise and sunset. Turn on your porch light at dusk, turn it off at dawn, or open your shades in the morning to wake up with the sun.

Geofencing (iPhone only)
Receive a notification if you’ve left the lights on after leaving home, then turn them off right from your Today Widget.

Adjust the brightness, color (warm/cool color temperature as well as full color) and Vibrancy with a quick and simple interface. Ketra lighting can transform your home by changing the mood from warm and relaxing to bright and energizing, enhance the details of your home decor, and add color to accent the environment and create a dramatic or festive mood.

Set your favorite scenes from your home screen using the Today Widget. No need to launch the app.

Low Battery
Receive low battery indications for battery-powered shades, Pico wireless controls, and Radio Powr Savr sensors to know when it's time to replace their batteries.

Not Intuitive

When you consider the expense and effort that goes into upgrading your electrics and lighting system in your home you would expect the controls to be somewhat intuitive. You would at least expect to be able to adjust lights with a couple of simple clicks through your phone. Not the case with the Lutron App, the UI feels so old and clunky, there are so many click throughs to find what you need, it’s usually easier to just go to the manual switch as you would with an old system.
Setting up a schedule is painful, I tried setting up 2 and I’m still not sure exactly what’s set up, how do I review, adjust, change, it’s really hard to visualize as you can never see everything in one place.
Lutron - please take a look at the nest App or similar, think about a redesign because the App is a massive let down after investing in a quality system install.

You Still Want a Remote Access subscription.

NOT a replacement for your Remote Access subscription.

When I purchased the Lutron Connector Bridge I was shocked to discover that it utilizes a different app than the Lutron Home Control+ app.

This app, ‘Lutron Connect’ app is terrible compared with the ‘Lutron Home Control+’ app. Lutron Connect has very little organization to it. All of your rooms are simply alphabetized. There’s a total lack of color utilization. Text is micro small and it’s difficult to determine the status of lights or shades. Strongly recommend you continue to use the Lutron Home Control+ app and pay the $79 fee for remote access. It’s a small price to pay for a vastly superior app.

The Lutron Connect app is also old-school when it comes to passwords. Requiring numbers upper and lower case etc.

Also, as a condition of any Lutron sale make certain that your dealer installs a working copy of the Lutron Windows desktop software for you. This software is necessary for making anything but minor changes on your Lutron system. Don’t get me wrong, Lutron makes EXCELLENT hardware. But this app is a stinker.

Please check out the latest version which now has the ability to customize the UI under Settings > Customize App - there you can choose how to sort the items between the order defined by the installer, or alphabetically.

Lutron takes security seriously and we want to make sure that all our customers are protected from password threats.
Using the app you can also make changes to your keypad buttons and schedules. Here are some videos that explain these features: (These videos support both RadioRA 2 and HomeWorks QS systems).

Does not work with homekit still... no idea why

Serious problems despite buying a multi-thousand dollar homeworks qs device and using the lutron connect app.

I give it a star since the app opens and closes my shades. NO idea why you cant make shade group and shade scene changes on the app itself. It’s ridiculous.

I finally got everything working on alexa but can’t get scenes to connect to HomeKit. This is the MAIN reason i spent over $3k getting this new box installed.

Lutron needs to make this right given that I have a $30k+ shade system and I can’t do what a home depot shade can do.

The days of installers being necessary for everything is OVER and customers wont stand for this no matter how much integrator protectionism they have.

Installers for us are 200miles away and are too busy to really do followup work. They will charge you for an install and will leave service calls (despite being expensive) for last tier on their priority list.
