With the LUX Pro Solutions app, the contractor has a method to place their Logo into the LUX Products App. First register your organization at https://pro.luxproducts.com/co-branding/ Then install any LUX WiFi thermostat and scan the QR code with the LUX Pro Solution App. The homeowner’s LUX Thermostat App will have your Logo in place of the LUX app! Essentially giving the contractor their own thermostat app!

Get Out Of My House
You’re kidding me, right?
I’m a homeowner, not a contractor, and after I’ve done the research and legwork to select an appliance (even a small one like a smart thermostat), if a contractor had the audacity to slither their logo onto a control app, or on-screen display of the appliance, they’d get called back ASAP to reverse that. Same goes to them attempting to program a device I’ve purchased, or them creating and connecting accounts on my behalf without my consent.
I’m thinking of purchasing the Kono Smart thermostat, but seeing this app gives me pause; it makes me think that I’m not Lux’s customer, the contractor and/or gas/electric utility is. Are these cooperative arrangements just for building market share, or are they revenue streams??
Perhaps the worst part is just that Lux has taken the time and money to build this, when the control app it customizes needs a ton of work: it looks like it was designed for a different screen size and a different platform - it looks too big and awkward on iOS, yet also fails to use the entire screen. And type wraps poorly and in places where it looks like nobody expected it to wrap. It’s klunky, and you want to jam a contractor’s logo into a tiny space in the header that will just make the whole thing seem even more awkward? Get your basics - your customer-facing app - in order first.
I’m really disappointed in Lux right now.
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
