  • Favorite tracking app i’ve used

    Elzaphine

i’ve used a few different apps to track my workout and the further I get into my gym experience I grew out of the other ones, but this one has been my favorite by far. There are so many exercises listed I don’t ever need to make customs, which is something I ran into with other apps. I also love the multiple ways. You can track your progress and look at how well you’re doing. The only thing that I wish could change about this is the muscle recovery section being more in depth. It feels kind of bare and like there’s room to make it more interactive and get a more in-depth analysis. But overall i love this app! I highly recommend it and have gotten multiple friends to join.

  • Cool app BUT…

    jayjames99

I’ve been using this app for almost a year and I love it. However I’ve got disappointed. I’ve never used the feature to upload a photo, until now that I started to wanting to track my progress at least visually. The problem is that if you upload it directly from the camera, once you upload it you don’t have a way to download it. It should either leave a copy of that photo in your photos app or at least allow you to download it. Yes I know it allows you to share it as a story or download it but if you share it as a story it adds some stats which can’t be removed, and if you save it, it will only save the stats with a grey background instead the picture. It doesn’t say anywhere that that is a premium feature and why would keeping your own picture be a premium feature anyways. If you tell me that the photo is included in the workout analysis screen ok I’m willing to upgrade but then make sure to specify that in the upgrade to premium screen which now it doesn’t say anything just the price. Also there should be a way to change the units for exercises time based so that at least we log the time we start performing an exercise and the progress overtime. I hope you guys read this and can improve that. Thank you!

Thanks for the detailed feedback. Noted this down, especially around saving or downloading the original photo after taking it in-app, and we’ll look into improving it.

  • Amazing app but one thing I would change to make it even better

    xDarkNebula

I keep using this app as it helps track my progress rather easily and effectively which is great but often I will be working out and I press a button on accident as you do when hyped up and sweating and the whole workout gets deleted. Today I accidentally pressed the top left button (down arrow) and my workout completely resets (3 hours in😭😭😭) you can imagine how frustrated I was.Edit: I’ve yet to find this problem again so I added one star, but if it were perfect I’d like to have a little more knowledge on the muscles I’m actually working on, and potentially other lifter’s personally workout routines/ things that would help me improve,I assume Ai could be beneficial in that regard instead of making a workout that doesn’t always feel right. I would love to see new features that make the main app much more well-rounded. Obviously I think it’s great now!Edit: the reset bugs are happening more often and it’s becoming unusable, I’m going back to pen and paper

    Developer Response

Thanks so much for the honest feedback—we really appreciate it. We’re glad Lyfta’s helping you stay on track, but we totally get how frustrating that bug must be (especially after 3 hours 😭). We’re working on a fix to prevent accidental resets and really appreciate you sticking with us in the meantime 💪

  • Don’t pay attention to the 1 star reviews

    DujuanBrooks

This app is great I’ve lost 85 lbs using it it’s just perfect no ads basic features are free for people that just want to use it to track their workouts. I’ll be upgrading to premium soon to support the creator, the app is perfect it tells you your previous weight so you can pick up from where you left offOnly thing I wish yall added was better cardio features like cardio training where you could put the time and miles you walked for then the time you ran for. My football team would benefit a lot from this.Apart from this the app is great it’s actually perfect better than all the other bs apps out there

  • Great…but

    DBFlys

I’m writing this review because I love the app, but it has one problem that annoys me! The app is great for helping me keep track of my workouts (I used to always forget what set I’m on or leave out exercises etc.), as well as motivating me to go to the gym with the social media aspect of it. My one problem is the Apple Watch integration is lacking. In order to see and use a workout on your Apple Watch, you must first start it through the app on the phone and simultaneously connect to your watch in the app’s settings every time, unless I’m missing something. If it would be possible to start workouts directly from the watch like Strava or Apple fitness and later sync to the phone app that would be amazing (and would warrant 5 stars (; )

    Developer Response

Thank you for the detailed feedback and kind words! We’re thrilled Lyfta helps you stay motivated and organized. Improving Apple Watch integration is a great suggestion—we’re exploring ways to make it smoother. Got more amazing ideas? Reach us at support@lyfta.app—they help us improve! 🚀

  • The best of the best

    Avamichelles

This is the best free fitness app I have ever tried. I am a beginner and this app has changed the game for me. When I first started going to the gym (about 2 months ago), my biggest fear was that I would go into the gym and look stupid because I didn’t know how to use the equipment. This app has helped me tremendously to not only understand how to use each equipment, but how to have proper form as well. And the tracking workouts feature is amazing. This app is an all-in-one. I love it. There are SO many features without a subscription it is amazing. Thank you so much for this app y’all did a big one with this

  • 10/10 Insane app

    Mateoo303

I think this is best workout tracking app on market. UI/UX is seamless. There are a LOT of features. You can connect to apple health, apple watch and other services. I'm shocked that there are all exercises and multiple variants of them. I think that there are thousands of exercises to choose from. It's easy to find what you want to do. I could easily create a workout plan and share it easily with my gym bro. You can use app for free without too much restrictions which is perfect. Now I consider buying premium version because how good app is.

    Developer Response

Thanks for your detailed review. It's great to hear you consider Lyfta the best workout tracking app with a seamless UI and tons of features and exercises. I'm happy you could create and share workout plans easily and enjoy the free features. Kjell from the Lyfta team

  • Amazing app with everything I need

    Tim C2

I don't usually write reviews, but I stumbled upon this app accidentally when beginning my fitness journey and found it incredibly useful for tracking everything.Being both a stats nerd and completely new to working out, it was perfect to have a library of over 300 actions animated out and tracking the muscle groups it hit. When I work out, I just add in the weights and number of reps. The app just beautifully populates with information and I get visualization of my progress for the week.Best workout app I've found!

    Developer Response

Thanks for the great feedback, Tim! We're glad the app is helping with your fitness journey. If you ever need anything, feel free to reach out at support@lyfta.app. Keep crushing it! 💪

  • Super Useful

    RubenC789

I’m terrible at tracking progress and remembering if I either decided to go up in weight or reps for next time. I used to stay at the same weight, reps, and sets for weeks on end since I didn’t progressively overload with my terrible memory. Lyfta helps to automatically track my progress in the gym. Never been so consistent and serious about my training. My muscles have never been bigger and even people at work have noticed how I’ve made gains. Would 10/10 recommend for any sort of gymgoer with all types of goals.

    Developer Response

Thanks a ton, Ruben! 🙌 We’re so glad Lyfta’s helping you stay consistent and push for progress. Hearing that your gains are getting noticed at work? That’s next-level! 💪 Keep it up—we're proud to be part of your journey!

  • Needs more female equivalent exercises.

    wolvang

Great app, other than the fact that some exercises only have male demonstrations, with no equivalent shown for females. For example, I was looking for the Barbell Deadlift exercise, but could only find the male version, so I had to use that for my workout plan in the end. When adding exercises to a plan, it would be great if the developers could add a male and female checkbox in the filter tab, allowing us to decide to view only male or female exercises if we want.Realistically, any exercise on this app for males should automatically have the female demonstration version available as well. It’s 2025.

    Developer Response

Thank you so much for this thoughtful review and for highlighting an important point 🙏 You're absolutely right - in 2025, representation should be standard, not optional. We're currently working on expanding our library to include both male and female demonstrations for all exercises, including staples like the Barbell Deadlift. We also love your idea of a gender filter when browsing exercises - it’s now on our roadmap.Thank you again for the feedback and for helping us build a more inclusive and empowering fitness experience for everyone 💪💜
