As of right now... This app in my opinion will get 2 stars. I've been riding the Lynx for more than 5 years now. Its been soo annoying to try to call LCS to find the location of the bus and if you missed it or not so the convenience of this app was heaven sent. The issue I have with the app is 1. It is buggy. I would go and check a bus location one second and it would only show my selected routes. In other times all the routes are highlighted and its stressful. Also sometimes the bus would show up on the map and it would be deep in orlando just to find out that the bus is 5 Minutes away. And the last bug is that my bus route would completely disappear as a option to select. To sum it all up... The app jeeds work
Helpful , but needs some tweaking for sure.
Ok, I’m not gonna hammer it because I do find it to be helpful. A particular feature that should be added in future revisions of the app is the ability to plan a trip outside of hours that the bus actually runs. The current app doesn’t show bus routes at all if that particular bus route is done for the day. Perhaps it was designed for tracking only. Maybe integrate it with maps or something....I don’t know. Example: it’s 2:00 am and I know I need to be at 123 ABC street by 830 am tomorrow morning, but I have no clue what bus to catch or where to catch it. The lynx tracker app is of no help at all right now because no buses are running. I would have to open a maps app, put in my starting point and destination address, and what time I need to be there by and then choose bus for method of transport. The search results would tell me what bus or buses that I need to take and from where and what time, any transfers, etc. Once the buses start running I can use the tracker app to determine if the bus is on time and while that is helpful It would be nice however to not need 2 separate apps to succeed in this type of situation. If they intentionally made this app for live tracking only so as not to “compete” with the google maps of the world, then it’s a pretty good first live revision but there is definitely room for improvement.
Definitely needs work.
It’s a great idea, but as of late I haven’t even been able to track the bus on the route I need. The route is marked on the map, but now there isn’t even a bus icon that I can click on to see where it is. I still have to call Lynx to figure out if it’s on time or not, and as someone who uses public transit for nothing other than to get to work, this is frustrating.
This app is also in need of more accurate tracking. Maybe there are times when the little bus icon doesn’t move in real time, but it helps to be able to follow it more accurately. As stated by other reviewers, this app exists so we can track the bus we need, so that definitely needs tweaking.
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
