Description

Maccy is a clipboard manager doing one job - keep your copy history at hand. Period.

• Blazing fast. Open and search your entire clipboard history in a fraction of a second. Nothing distracts you from what you're focused on.
• Keyboard-first. Just type what you want to find and hit Enter. Don't waste your time moving your hands away from the keyboard.
• Native and minimalistic design. Don't get distracted by a sophisticated interface and useless features. Feels like the operating system has a built-in clipboard manager.
• Secure and private. Password managers are not logged. All the data is stored on your Mac and never leaves it.
• Customizable and extensible. Configure every aspect in preferences. Automate complex cases with Shortcuts actions.
• Open source. The source code is available on GitHub under MIT license. This version is being sold on the App Store to support the development.

I resisted a clipboard manager for so long... for no good reason

I came across Maccy listening to a Jupiter Broadcasting podcast and it sounded cool and during a particular guantlet of copy/paste I figured I'd give it a shot. I haven't looked back since. It was an adoption curve similar to learning how to walk. If I come across a mac without it, it feels like I am doing things "the hard way". Configuration is simple, it handles sensitive values from apps like 1Password perfectly (doesn't cache passwords by default) and the GUI is really nice. Seriously the best app I have found in a long time.

Best clipboard app on Mac if you need images as well as text

I worked on Windows for a long time and loved Ditto. Alas, Ditto does not exist on Mac.
None of the free apps for mac that could work with images were any good, and the main one recommended to me was Paste. It looked good, but it only had a subscription model, which for something like a clipboard manager just feels weird.
Found Maccy, paid my one time purchase, and instantly loved it! If you used Ditto on Windows, this is the app for you on Mac!

*edit* works great ;)

I was having a problem with it not pasting anything. The menu would come up, but nothing happened when I clicked an option, tried keyboard shortcuts, nothing.

I emailed Maccy and they responded quickly and with a solution. All I had to do was go into system settings and give Maccy permission.

Very glad to have found this solution Mac's silly-small clipboard.

Developer Response ,

Sorry you didn't like Maccy. It doesn't paste by default when you select older items - it just copies them again. If you want to paste, you have to enable "Paste automatically" in "Preferences..." first.

Unfortunately, I cannot initiate refund from my side, you have to do it from https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204084.
