Downloaded app which is kind of big (927MB). The app is easy to use and runs smooth. However, out of the entire set of ‘live’ backgrounds, only a few are actually have decent active graphics. The ‘Milky Way’ background seems to be the most detailed one. Others have very littly, to no animation at all. I would recommend the regular Mack Desktop and not the 4K.
Great App, needs more!
Thanks for this great program.
For the most part, it does what it's supposed to do...
However, there are weak points:
- "Reload" menu option doesn't seem to function
- "Automatically Add Recommended Widgets" doesn't seem to do anything
- Sometimes, after OS sleep/lock, the computer crashes/freezes, especially with videos > 30 FPS and with AUDIO tracks
- Even with "Allow Audio" off, the app prevents MacOS from sleeping due to an active audio signal
It would be nice if it could load a url and playlist, too.
Either way, it's still the best in class... Now, take it to the next level!
Could be better
At first the App did render the video to a small square on the desktop, instead of fullscreen. Then I had to ask the developer via facebook page, how to solve the issue - and restarted the app, as suggested: Then it worked. However, this should be present on the Apps documentation website, and a restart should be made automatically after choosing the quicktime video. Anyway, it did what I brought it to do. Just need some polishments.
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
