Description
Creates an interactive experience with the finished Machine Works V8 engine model. Allows you to see an exploded view of the model, five animations of key components of engines, detailed descriptions of eleven different parts of the model, an engine sound, and lots more to bring the engine to life!
The app has been designed specifically to work with the Machine Works V8 engine kit. It works by scanning the finished model to provide a multi-functional augmented reality experience.
Use your finger to rotate the images and animations on your smartphone to explore and learn about the various parts and functions of the engine. The glossary of engine parts includes an image of each, as well as a full written description.
You can switch between normal, x-ray or exploded views of the engine! There’s even an on/off switch that controls the animation of the engine, accompanied by the sound of a real V8 engine.
A copy of the assembly instructions for the V8 model is also included for reference.

Augmented Reality does not work
The augmented reality function does not work. Positioned the engines on the map and aligned exactly as described but the app just stayed on the alignment/calibration screen. Tried on an iPhone 12 Pro and an iPhone 6s both with up to date software.
Great Idea
Great idea but on my iPhone 13 mini the camera is upside down and almost impossible to get the engine in it right had it hook up once but moved the wrong way and lost it
Model broke instantly
While I was building the model I readjusted the crankshaft and I heard the pulley snap. I was very disappointed that the model didn’t come with extra parts.
