Magene Utility 4+

I don't know if the hardware is bad, this app is bad, or both. The app has very limited functionality, so you'd think those limited functions would at least work well. The app was able to find the magene cadence sensor once (after a few tries), and even connect to it. After that, I was able to bring it up once, and it showed the sensor in the speed mode (which I double checked and that info was incorrect). After that first test, the app has since failed to pull up the sensor data ever again.

I downloaded the app to check/update the firmware (as they recommend) for the cadence sensor. The app found the sensor after taking out and reinstalling the batter a few times , but there is no option to check/update firmware.
I figured if I created a login profile that might help, but couldn’t even accomplish that. If the device itself is as incompetent, it will be going back.

The radar device works okay. The associated supporting app is useless. Instructions are in broken English and the very first task I attempted wanted to charge me an extra $5 which I certainly wasn’t going to pony up for a 1-star rated app. The radar device is probably stolen technology anyway. I guess I should have stuck with USA and bought Garmin.
