Long time player disappointed by missing content due to delayed iOS release
I’ve been playing Magic Chess for about 5 years and consistently reached Mythical rank. I was excited for Magic Chess: Go Go, but disappointed that the app wasn’t available for U.S. iPhone users for weeks after launch. Because of that, I missed the Guinevere season skin which feels really unfair, especially for loyal players like myself.
I’ve finally been able to play for a few days now and I genuinely love the new version. I’ve been using Guinevere and I think she’s going to be my new main, which makes it even more disappointing that I missed her skin due to something out of my control.
Additionally, not all of the skins from the old version carried over, which I had spent money/diamonds to get. The Golden Diamonds from the Gratitude Event can’t be used either, which adds to the frustration.
I hope the developers consider making the Guinevere skin available in the shop or offering a way for affected players to get it. I’ve supported the game for years and just want to see some fairness for those of us impacted by the delayed iOS release in the U.S.
Ok
Gameplay is fine, much like many other auto chess games. Not at all into the overload on cuteness of the characters, and the amount of F2P bonuses/goodies is ridiculous (you can spend as much time collecting all that rubbish as you do playing the game). But the worst part is how short the time is between turns and how small the text and icons are (playing on iphone 15 Pro Max). Not everyone reads super fast and has eagle eye vision!
I do like how clear synergies are marked in the store though.
The system itself it’s just bad
The game makes it hard for you to watch characters availability especially if you’re trying to upgrade their rank. You have to consistently keep checking on the question mark icon vs how it used to be where it is readily available for you. Also I feel like some of the characters have more of an advantage of skill and noticed certain characters consistently win or place higher due to the characters ability. But I don’t know if it’s just me but I never had an issue with the shop till now and it’s harder for you to build the characters you have in late game and gives the ones already winning a huge advantage.
