Magic Defense : TD 9+

I have had this game since yesterday and it’s pretty good so far but even though it’s not exactly an idle game to me it’s exactly what an idle game should be and what I mean by that is obviously with an idle game you know you can play actively and then you can inactively play which is where the game plays for you while you’re not playing the game and you earn coins and gold and whatever else and then you come back on and it says(you earned 1 million coins while you were away) that kind of stuff and sure those types of games are OK but also those types of games can get boring. there is a game that I have currentlyAnd have had for a couple years probably it is called archery hero or arch hero and I am level62 I think and obviously it took me a long time to get there and as far as I know I have spent no money, no physical money in that game. I figured I’d just say this.

The game itself is cool and fun. The problem lies with the micro transactions. If you want to be able to double your speed in game you either watch adds every level or every other game modes or you pay the monthly subscription fee for $10 (it’s original price is $50 but they cut the price to make it look like a good deal). I just started and it’s already annoying me trying to get through the initial contents to fully unlock everything because of the other problem, which is getting new heroes. You barely get anything to pull for heroes unless you pay money (same goes for weapons) and there’s only 3 rarity (including the first set you get). Another person brought up stuff like sweeping content you’ve already done and I agree to all quality of life stuff because right now it’s annoying to just play a round, I literally have to watch an add just to double combat speed every time. I would’ve loved this game if it weren’t for it being too much about using money to progress or get cool stuff, because again I can barely pull anything and I’ve been playing for two days because the things you need to pull stuff are rare to get. I am amazed that literally everything you do has ads unless you pay for ad free. Hopefully later on this game gets quality of life changes and more pulls, (I had to save up so much of the free gems they give for being new and for playing daily just to pull a 10 summon and get nothing good lol).

I saw an ad for it and I liked that there was diversity in the characters but I was disappointed when I started playing. It’s a very simple game, a little too simple; you have basic starter characters from which you randomly draw 3 to pick 1 from; they have preset attacks and you only have to tap the screen to collect resources from the monsters they kill; when a certain level of resources is reached you are given 3 choices again with the option to pick another character, the field character’s special, or an attack buff; the game continues with this pattern of attacking and picking buffs with the only challenge being if the randomly drawn cards are the same character and special to maximize damage. As you play you realize unlocking other characters is difficult and is a gachta style cash grab to unlock characters. Even when you unlock characters you can only pick 5 to play the actual game with from the dozens they offer. Along with the gachta cash grab you can pay to upgrade heroes. It is very unlike the ad with diverse character selection, too simple with a low learning curve, and lacks engaging game play. Its simple art is cute and appealing but its not something you want to invest time in and feel satisfaction playing.
