Get help whenever and however you need with Magic.
Magic connects you with a live virtual assistant any time, anywhere, 24/7.
Magic works on projects to improve your successes at work and at home. We free you up so that you can grow your business, accelerate your career, spend more time with loved ones, and focus on the important things in your life.
When you sign up, you are assigned a team of remote assistants. Think of them as an extension of your company, scaling with you as you grow your business.
Magic charges for the active time assistants work on your projects: web searches, calling vendors, creating spreadsheets, sending emails and more. We do not charge you time for project assessment, wait times or activity that do not relate to active work on your projects.
While Magic is powered by software, it's not artificial intelligence. You're not chatting with a bot. You’re talking to a team of assistants who value a professional relationship with you over time. We will remember your preferences and tastes so that each task reflects your personal stamp.
Using Magic is simple:
1. Chat with us about what you need to get done
2. Your team of assistants start working on your task
3. We update you along the way -- or change course based on your feedback
4. We get it done
Here are a few examples of how you can use Magic:
- Find me engineering candidates with 3-5 years of experience. Look on LinkedIn and give me the first 5 results in a spreadsheet before continuing.
- Add job title, company and contact information to this list of sales leads
- Convert this PDF into a document and summarize the essential learnings
- Give me a comparison of automatic sedan rentals for my upcoming travel Scotland. Call to make sure pick up and drop off from my hotel is ok.
- Copy this intro pitch blurb and email it to the attached list of potential investors. Record positive, negative and no responses in a spreadsheet for me to review.
- Book a haircut appointment with my stylist every 3 months. Look for an open slot on Fridays between 11am and 3pm.
Just a quick lil bug fix for push notifications.

Really like the idea! However, I don’t know if their business model is the correct one. I don’t think charging hourly is going to be successful if they want to monetize this business in the B2C space at least. I would look into other ways to monetize it like ads, companies sponsorship, etc.
Incompetent, Clumsy, Risky
I’ve used magic for a couple months now. First, they outsource most of the work the Philippians and other third world countries. So when you think you’re getting US based work for $30/hr. You’re not. Second, I asked magic to do a simple task of sending 1 message out to 8 people on LinkedIn. They proceeded to mass blast the email to over 100 people. I was then: (1) prohibited from sending out connections on LinkedIn, and (2) got dozens of angry messages. I used LinkedIn for my business; this is not a joke. Third, I asked them to find someone on Fiverr to do my logo. After many failed attempts from the designer I asked if I could speak with him directly - they said no! Apparently they use their “business” account and therefore are unable to connect me with the designer. Why? How does that make sense? I’d bet they were getting a kickback on the back end. All and all I’m truly disappointed with this application. They’re not only clumsy and incompetent, but they’re dangerous with your business and personal name. Negative stars. Also, I see the developer responds to most of these posts telling the user to reach out to support. I did - multiple times to no avail.
Magic is not so Magical
I have used the app for about the last four years , as a personal assistant. Typically would use it for delivery pickups of prescriptions, keys, etc. This worked OK. About half the time, the rep. got very little accomplished.
I finally cancelled the service as the last several
requests, which were fairly basic, and the rep
could not make ANY progress other than generate significant billable
It is useful for the most basic of tasks. I have no sense that any task of any sophistication can be addressed. It basically feels like you are dealing with someone in a foreign call center who knows very little other than what they can find through Google.
I wanted it to be good. But the service was always sub-standard in the best of times, and over the last 18 months it is junk. Also, when I started to ask them to do what they were billing for and complain, there was ZERO interest in attempting to help address my concerns. I unfortunately have to give the customer satisfaction/retention group an “F” as well.
Take a pass on Magic. It blows.
