I would give five stars but you actually made the advanced search function substantially worse with this new update. I don’t understand removing the ‘or’ option, let alone removing the option to have multiple things selected on any one box. The worst change you made was to the rules text box itself. There are too many card effects in general for use to remember the specific phrasing of each one. Please bring back the old options.

Sometimes the mechanics are clunky and you can’t turn off abilities on permanents if you touch them out at the wrong moment (I/e reading them) and it seems to require an update every 10 days or so. Other than that it’s a fun game and it syncs up great with the Companion app so your prizes show up immediately for pre release events even if you can’t open the packs until their release dates.

Works well for tracking games, and it’s essential for joining events at your local retailer, but it would be nice if it allowed you to tap & hold for life gain/loss rather than having to repeatedly tap for each point. And looking up cards is rather clunky, you can’t see both faces of dual-sided cards and the advanced search isn’t as easy as Scryfall or Archidekt.

You need a SAVE button to save results and an EDIT button to edit results, and a SEND or a SUBMIT button to submit match results. Your autosave is buggy and frequently deletes submitted results so tournament organizers have to re-enter match results multiple times. I have to keep track of match results on paper just to use this app. Recommended, but shouldn't be necessary.

This used to be my go to card search engine it had all the bells and whistles by being able to type multiple instances of rules text, yes to this one no to this, yes both this and that. I found it a lot more simple to find what I was looking for compared to other engines like scryfall. Their recent updates have ruined the search engine and it no longer does any of this anymore. Please bring back the old features. These new ones are unusable.

I absolutely loved the advanced card search, and I would use it in the brewing of every deck I made. Unfortunately for whatever reason, someone made the call to completely remove nearly all the options from the advanced card search, making it basically useless. Beforehand, I was able to explicitly use modifiers such as “is” “or” “not”, and multiple individual phrases in the rules text box to narrow down different effects I needed for a deck but didn’t know if it existed. The only limit for discovery was myself, and the advanced card search could be utilized incredibly to discover new cards among the tens of thousands for some exact scenario you might need. I love building jank decks so finding jank combos was extremely important, and often utilized many cards and effect not often seen or known. Now the only way you can use the advanced search is if you know a near exact phrase of a card, so the potential for card discovery no longer exists. It’s really sad to see because it was such an incredible tool; and I have found no other website or third party app that can accomplish what the old advanced search could.I really hope that a developer or someone at wizards sees the comments and complaints about this new change and motions to revert the advanced search to what it used to be. Deck building is a lot more difficult now.
