Description

Find magnetic field generating objects with your device! The app works thanks to the device's built-in magnetometer! The sensor allows you to detect objects generating a magnetic & electromagnetic field like electronic devices (phones, wiretaps), sharp objects, metal screws, wires and much more!

The app is perfect for:

Construction workers & handymen ->
- to find where in the walls are hidden wires
- to determine the location of metal framing studs

Students ->
- for educational purposes like school projects and experiments

Please note that Magnetic Detector PRO is not a replacement for professional metal detector devices and it should be used for private/entertainment purposes only.

magnet fishing

I lost a magnet in some shallow waters and I plan to use this app to find it. So far it pings from 2 FEET AWAY with my magnet. I am excited to use this to find the lost magnet.

Needs work - could be a good app

The operation semi-works and has a nice GUI, but the pop-up ads cause the app to crash.
Upon start-up, you get “ad starts in Xx sec”. 50% of the time, the ad doesn’t start, the screen is grayed out and controls are locked. The app does however basically continue to detect. If you survive the boot-up ad, another ad pops up a short time later. If you ‘X’ out of that ad, the app will not return, necessitating a restart of the app (and dealing with the boot-up ad).
When the app did work, it appeared functional on metal items ran across the iPhone magnetometer, but I could not keep the app running long enough to test for wires/nails in a wall.
I was going to purchase the no-ads version, but I’m not certain the app won’t keep crashing.
With some developer debugging, the app would show promise.

This app saved me 120$

I lost my Apple Pencil, and I’m broke so I was... pretty distraught. I tried Bluetooth finders but to no avail, as the devices battery had died and wasn’t putting a signal out at all. I almost accepted defeat until while on the toilet taking a pee I had an en epiphany: the side of the pencil is magnetic! If I could play, more or less, a game of hot and cold with this app, I may find my beloved Apple Pencil.

It took 20 minutes but I found it between the cushion of a chair in my nieces room where I was sitting over a week ago. Bless the devs!
