If you have a camera with multiple lenses on your phone, you need this app to run the MagView. Only problem is the color on the app is all F’ed up. Extremely dull and makes it had to see into shadows through a spotter. Tried adjusting the brightness but that didn’t help. Wish they would fix this.

I have been using the app for a little over three months. I talked to their guys at a trade show and they told me the negative reviews were before their company bought Magview and they have the app devs working to make it better. I have not had any issues using it almost everyday. It is so much help aligning your phone to your spotter and it makes it super simple. I have been using it for general birding activities and also at the range so help record and measure my shots from the bench. The new company managing this app is doing much better and I have not had any of the bugs previous users have. I have the iPhone 16 pro.

I bought the MagView for my spotter last year and the spotter mount and app worked great. Upgraded to a new iPhone 15 in October and the app will not work. From I've read, MagView Gear has said several times since September that the app will be working on the new iPhone in a couple weeks. Well here we are 3 months later and almost through an entire hunting season and the app is still not working. Every app on my phone worked just fine after the upgrade, so not sure what issues they're working through. You'd like to think it would be a huge priority for them to get this resolved, especially during hunting season. Not sure how they will manage to stay in business. Long story short, great product when it worked but just lost an entire hunting season of use. A lot of money wasted.....

I bought this setup to move away from phone Skope which worked great. But I update my phone every year and it just wasn’t a good solution for the long term. Tried this on my iPhone 14 Pro before I made the switch and it worked ok. Went to the iPhone 15 and NOTHING!!! Now I can’t use my binos or scope for the upcoming hunt. Pretty frustrated. On top of that the app is ok but is way better than trying to get regular camera by itself to focus. So without the app your really screwed.
