Fast-paced, accessible, and utterly brilliant, Marvel Snap’s quick, competitive matches are packed with seemingly infinite possibilities. Do you annoy opponents by dominating the first round’s playing field with Squirrel Girl’s rodent hordes? Or do you build your 12-card deck around the complementary card effects of the Guardians of the Galaxy? There’s no wrong answer. Fantastic animations, abilities, and art that perfectly channel the personality of the comics help make this one of the best card games on the App Store.

Fiinally! A mobile Marvel game done right.

I was reluctant to try this this game. I’m a huge marvel fan, but marvel strike force didn’t do it for me, and future fight(my second favorite mobile marvel game) is just pretty good. This, however is brilliant. Simply… brilliant. The amount of love and attention to detail put into this game is as apparent as it is massive. Cards even have voice acting. VOICE ACTING! They are literally just pieces of paper but they wanted to make the game so detailed that cards like Storm, Kang, Thanos, and more have voice acting. But, of course it doesn’t end there. I love the way that cards tend to combo off of other cards that come from their franchise(for example, spiderman cards tend to move things around, and shuri pairs with black panther to quadruple his initial power) but it isn’t forced. Some of the most powerful combos in the game(one I tend to think of is Odin and Wong) is two characters that don’t even match. The game is both intuitive and deep. New cards come out frequently, and the game is definitely not pay to win. Most purchases are deals for skins, so if you have money, you can get some exclusive favorites, but it doesn’t give a heavy advantage to the richer players. This deserved the mobile game of the year award it got in 2020 and I continue to enjoy contributing to the community and giving my thoughts when they post surveys. Amazing game. 10/10

Awesome game but …….

While I have immensely enjoyed the game, I must say the one of the issues I have are the repetitive nature of the cards you receive. I mean I do enjoy the different card face variations, does one really need 4 different copies of one card. Yes you boost the cards and change the looks but then you reach its max level and you get another version but with a different categorization. Can’t they actually get a different boost to what it already brings to the game or is that it. I’m at a point where I only boost cards just for the missions. I mean do I really want to boost another “Mantis” card to its max to get another exact copy to start again with no added bonuses to make it worthwhile. I’m for the different artist representations because some are really cool, but enough with the get the card to max status and for your troubles here’s another of the same exact copy to do it again.
Also another thing is the cards that play for you, can they actually be made to make a positive play to win and not just screw you out of a turn and put you back from what was being stategized. I can’t remember how many times I’ve retreated when my strategy gets bamboozled because Ego or Agatha happens upon my board and I’m just left wondering why would you make that move.
Anyways great game but maybe address these annoying issues. I’m sure I’m not alone in this.
