It won’t work unless you allow 24/7 location access.
There is an issue with the location feature. It is completely non functional for me unless I allow it to have access to my location always. Tried setting it to have access to my location only when using the app and it won’t allow this.
Found the app to be pretty useless for that reason. I shouldn’t have to give constant location access to any app. If I am using the app, you can have my location, but I don’t need to be tracked 24/7.
Gets me the weather alerts simultaneously with Accuweather alerts

This is pretty easy to use. I have enabled the location-based setting because that matters for weather.
The alerts match up with what I see from the National Weather Service and Accuweather, plus add state emergency info if applicable. That’s definitely a bonus.
I really like the maps at the bottom of each alert that show the affected area. It was useful during the recent blizzard because I could see that I was on the edge of blizzard conditions.
I like that alerts expire and show that status in the UI.
Feature request: time stamp the alerts in the summary view or indicate if the newest is at the top or bottom. It’s annoying to have to click in and out to find the latest one.
Location always required
I get the banner alerts, but I can never read them in the app because I have location services set to ‘while using’. I refuse to allow apps to have contact access to my location. I set my home address, that should be sufficient, but it’s not. Deleting the app now.
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
