MasterDex - complete pokedex 4+

Downloaded the app, spent a few minutes with it and fell in love. I’ve tried many pokedex apps in the past (Dexter, PokeLab, RotoGo to name a few) and although they’re great in their own way - Theres something about this one that i really like.

The UI is fluid and aesthetically pleasing. The information is compact yet easily accessible if you want to expand more info. This also supports the latest generation - Scarlet & Violet - which other Dex apps have not updated yet. It also provides the right balance between informative content, aesthetics and presentation without feeling like its doing trying too hard and sacrificing performance - an issue that i unfortunately had with RotoGo.

What got me to drop the $3 was the fact that its a one time purchase and not a SUBSCRIPTION. It also automatically lets users enjoy the PRO version for 7 days to try out the features without having to manually request or sign up for it.

Firstly, I’d like to say I usually do not write reviews for apps, this is an expection.
I’ve tried several different Pokédex/teambuilder apps, and this one is the highest quality one I could find. In fact, I actually brought the one time purchase for $3 dollars because of it, which is an amazing deal itself.
Firstly, the app allows you to sort the Pokédex, with mega pokemon, regional variants, etc. it is also updated to the most recent game, being the indigo disk and teal mask as of feb 2024. Secondly, you can make two teams for free, unlike other apps where you can only make one. Thirdly, you can add the Pokédex of games you have onto the app, like Red and Blue, Sword and Shield, etc., and then fill them out, you can even make them shiny, although it’s really only a “✨” symbol. Lastly, the app has many different other features, like abilities, moves, trainers and items, and the whole app looks very smooth and polished, compared to others which can feel cramped and unorganized.

My only real complaints are that you need to pay to have dark mode and more than two teams, but the payment is a very good, one time purchase of $3 and can be restored through backup.
If I were to recommend anything, maybe there could be a damage calculator?

Overall, the app is amazing, the best Pokédex and pokemon team builder app by far, and worth the payment.

The amount of quality of life features in this app is insane, the layout is perfect, and the info is all up to date. I pair this app with ProDex because the few things that this app could improve upon, ProDex does them, and vice versa! The only complaints I have are about the team builder. 1: the ability to choose a game for the team (ie: red/blue, gold/silver, etc), it should still have the national dex option, but the ability to build a team for a certain game with only the moves and abilities they’d have in that game would improve the app immensely 2: this is a small one, but the option to put teams into folders, or even just move the teams around on the list would make sorting 10x easier! Right now I have to refrain from making a team until I finish a teambuilding project so I don’t lose the one I’m currently working on 9.8/10
