The mission of the Matlacha/ Pine Island Fire Control District (MPIFCD) is to preserve life and property in our community and to promote fire prevention through public education. We cover our area operating out of four fire stations. We protect approximately 45 square miles and provide many services including fire suppression, basic and advanced life support in conjunction with Lee County EMS, rescue services, vehicle extrication, fire inspections, fire prevention programs, public education, and boat operations. We are fully operational and staffed 24/7.In case of emergency, call 911
