Love the app and the idea of it linking with the MaxPreps page but I hate how my athletes are not allowed to start a chat. If I manually go in and add them as an admin to give chat permission there isn’t an athlete label for them. This is how our team COMMUNICATES but they aren’t allowed to chat unless I start the conversation first?? It’s frustrating because what’s the big deal to give them chat permission? Why would there not be an option for me to give them that opportunity. Sometimes they would rather ask a friend a question rather than asking me first. Also, I have a parent to added her daughter as her athlete and it links to a girl who’s not even on our roster! We have no idea where it came from but when you click on the name her daughter information pops up. It makes no sense. We have deleted the app, deleted her profile, restarted everything several times and used new emails and nothing works!!

Thank you for reaching out. Yes, we have received this request and are working on creating this as an option in the future. As for the parent linking to the incorrect athlete, can you email me at email@example.com and I can look further into this? -Christina MaxPreps Staff
Trouble syncing players to chat
I’ve used this app since it’s inception. This year for some reason I’m having all kinds of issues with my players confirming their profiles In order to get on the chats which is what I really use the app for. I can’t seem to pinpoint what has changed as I haven’t had issues in the past. Players have deleted their profiles in an attempt to start over. Some worked others didn’t. As a coach I cannot take the time to troubleshoot everyone’s issues. Just a waste of time and unreliable communication vehicle. In an age where kids are on every social media platform it seems crazy that this app cannot be figured out by my kids. Frustrating.

I apologize for your frustrations and the issues you are experiencing within the app. Please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org, I'd be happy to get the players all linked correctly and resolve these issues! - Haley MaxPreps Staff
not all change is good
The old version was working well particularly with texting team members. At first the chat feature in the new version would not allow me to set a group. Now I can but there is no obvious way to add athletes to the chat. Further, all the player information I had was deleted in the update. A roll out of this update should have warned users of the changes and how to achieve the same features. Requests for help submitted on the website, calls to customer service or emails do not elicit any meaningful help. Very poor service.

I'm sorry to hear that you don't like the new Teams app. If you're a coach who utilized the MaxMessenger feature, you should have received an email informing you that MaxMessenger was going away and being replaced with Chat. If you're a coach with admin access, under MaxMessenger section was a message letting coaches know that feature was going away and you could get on the list to be notified regarding the Teams app.
In order to use the Chat feature, your athletes have to download the app and sign in after you share the Teams app code. Once they download the app and join the team you can start individual and or group messages.
Im sorry to hear that you customer service was not satisfied. You can give the Support Team a call and speak with me if you'll like and I can help with any question you have about the new Teams app. -Christina MaxPreps Staff
