Good way to pass time
If you don’t like the pay to play games this may be the game for you. Build the city the way you want, some challenges require buildings you don’t get for a while, but overall it’s a good game you can enjoy without spending much, if any, money.
Yep, it’s pay to win.
UPDATE: The pay-to-win aspect of this game rears its head at about level 20. By level 25, it is difficult to continue without paying real money for power ups. Meanwhile, half of your city is on fire and you don’t have the resources to do anything about it. And the clipboard lady is very, very disappointed in you.
This game is basically building a city, with homes and infrastructure like mills, dairies and so on. You get the resources to build and upgrade your building by playing match-3 levels. Your city generates income which allows further expansion. I have not needed to spend real money yet on game: currency or gems (it’s always gems in these games), and it’s too early to tell if such purchases will be required to complete the game. Until that time, I am finding the game enjoyable.
Frustrated!!!
Some days it’s lots of fun. Then you go two days of being unable to accomplish anything because the difficulty of one puzzle is obnoxious. Play the game all day and get nowhere. Then two or three days later, the same puzzle is super simple. It’s obviously setup to make you spend money. I’m ready to delete all My G5 games for that exact reason. If the only way you can enjoy their games is by spending money, I’ll spend My time playing games that aren’t quite as greed driven.

The game gets more challenging as you play further, but all levels can be passed, and purchasing any items is not obligatory to move forward.
