Promising, EASY not difficult editing...

Someone said they found this challenging to edit, but I personally think this app is perfectly easy to program- I opened it up, played around with it for a minute or two, and voila, had some pictures of our daily routine programmed- you don’t even have to add titles or record, if you don’t want or need to- the picture icons will show with or without going through the other steps. It is easy to switch between the different views of month, week or day by tapping the icons at the top left corner of the app’s screen. I also love the bright colors, the ability to change these colors to whatever I want, the ability to pull from a small library of already existing icons (including a car which many of us would use often to indicate “time to go in the car”, AND you can easily add your own icons from your camera’s existing picture library. There is also a child lock in case you have a child who likes to tap and erase things... that would be no bueno! There is a default setting for the password for this in the iPad’s main settings, and you can change it to a password you prefer there. I also LOVE how you can program a picture icon to show on the calendar without having to set a title or recording audio... for many, the visual icon alone is enough- no need to waste extra time typing in a title or recording if it would be redundant. Another plus is how you can record a lengthy recording to go with each icon- you can give more detailed instructions for your child or student to listen to, if they need that auditory feedback. A few things I would like to see as options for this app are: a digital clock option to display in lieu of or in addtion to the current clock face showing a task’s time, as it is easier for children to “read” the numbers; I also noticed that the dial to set time for a particular activity is only in military time- I am familiar with it, but perhaps there could be an option in settings to use the standard time with am/pm for the many of us who use this. Another great feature I would use with my students who can read, but need a visual calendar like this to stay more organized, is a TEXT ONLY feature, where you can easily type in a title, and it displays in large, easy to read letters, instead of an icon. Right now it will NOT do that- if you type in a note, it just shows a blank circle where the visual icon would display on the calendar. I will continue to use it share my thoughts after I have been using it for a significant amount of time, but it looks promising so far!

Not easy to use

I’ve deleted this app because it is not user friendly. Waste of $.
