McDonald’s Happy Meal app is jam-packed with games and activities that help kids develop useful new skills. We believe that kids learn best when they engage their imaginations in social play. So, we help them think in innovative ways to feed their curiosity, spark their creativity – and inspire them to create new things that they can be proud of.
We update our app whenever new characters visit the Happy Meal – so there’s always something new to look forward to.

Our all-new magical mask experience allows you to transform yourself into visiting characters or play with masks inspired by fruits and veggies.
Be an Inventor
Kids are encouraged to make experiments and watch their inventions go off with a surprise. By assembling the parts and testing the results, kids put their logic and problem-solving skills to work in a fun and exciting way.
Be an Artist
Kids join their favorite Happy Meal characters as they learn techniques to help get them thinking like real artists. Drawing and painting with different tools and materials helps them express their creativity.
Be a Musician
Match the musical patterns to learn brand-new sounds and rhythms along the way. It’s fun to dance to the beat, but it’s even more fun when kids get to compose songs.
Be a Hero
This is a fun new game that encourages the whole family to play together. By completing mini-challenges, you get to move, turn, and twist the device to direct and guide the game play.

Good, but some errors...
Ok, so, it's a real good game!!! But, the game keeps saying I need to update it and there is no UPDATE BUTTON!! Is this the game's problem or the app store's problem? Personally, I think it's your problem. I can't update the game but I really want to play all of these games. Please fix this! other than that, I think there should be more games, because I hate McDonalds because it's fake food. I use my sister's toys, which makes her angry. Other than all my thumbs downs, it's good, but that is why it isn't 5 stars. I hope that future people will read this and find it helpful. Please respond to me! Also, make SOME games easier. They can get hard! Some little kids play this, so please make this easier! Thank you so, so much! G'day to you, and please do all of this to make people happier and more likely to play your game. I hope people think a little more before downloading this this game because it isn't PERFECT. Cookies and ice cream and burgers and a drink if you finished reading this!!! 🍪 🍦 🍔 🍹
AR needs a lot of improvement
My kids love for me to scan their happy meal smiles in the app to see the surprise. But, it is very frustrating.
First, even in good light and a clean flat surface the camera doesn’t seem to be able to register flat. I have only been able to get it to work on the tile in my kitchen.
Second, more often then not the resulting animation that incorporates the box is much smaller than the actual box and even moving closer is small for the kids to see.
Third, load time is horrible. I have 3 kids who all want me to scan their individual boxes. After scanning one, I can’t just say scan again, even though the prompt says to. It has to leave the AR game load the main app, then I have to tap on the game again, and it has too load, then I have to scan the flat surface again (see above).
All in all it takes a good 10+ minutes for a quick 15second clip each and a lot of frustration on this parents part.
So disappointing 😑😑😑
So basically, this app is boring and just a huge waste of time. So back in 2014 and before, this app was really good for kids and had a lot of things to do, when you scan a different toy or item, it will each time give out a unique game to play, and it even comes with books for kids to read and learn, including some hidden features and other activities for the kids. I took my two-year-old niece out to eat at McDonald's and she got a Happy Meal, while she was eating I was looking at the box and it mentioned scanning the toy to play a game on the app, and it brought back the memories of me playing that game as a kid, so I decided to download it for my niece to try out. When I installed the app, truth be told it wasn't as exciting as the app I remembered, I gave my phone to my niece and after five minutes of just looking around, she was not at all entertained, especially after scanning her toy, I've noticed that almost everything has changed and most features we're locked. I would give this app a zero if I could. Don't recommend at all!!!!!
