This allowed me to open Access files on my Mac with no issues. But why not allow editing the SQL statement? You can only sort by clicking on the fieldname but it refreshes the screen and you have to scroll back to that column to reverse sort. Find is horrible. Select field contains? How do I find Nulls, or dates, or ? This is worth 5 bucks but 20 for nothing?
Had a dozen Access databases to convert, most of which Access 2013 and Access 2003 on PC users computers converted. But 2 caused Access to give error messages without converting. MDB ACCDB Viewer converted 1 of those databases, which had over 14,000 records, pretty quickly to Excel, and quicker to CSV. The 2nd file would not open because was an "Access 1.0 file". The developer of MDB ACCDB Viewer, Jakob Egger, worked with me to convert that file to a newer version of Access, and MDB ACCDB Viewer converted that new file to Excel and CSV immediately. Thank you!
This product did exactly what I wanted — exported a large access database into a MySQL compatible dump. It is strange that the only working tool I have found for migrating .accdb files comes from a single developer who wrote a product for the Mac platform. This is well worth the $20 dollars. This will save me lots of time and surely impress my colleagues.
I'm disappointed, as the tables that I needed were not imported, for some reason...Hopefully, I will have use for this at one time or another, as I don't think I can return it... :(
Chose MDB Viewer wisely from many similar apps. Quickly converted 9 year-old Access files into Excel for Mac. Tech Support by the developer was offered if any problems occur. Jakob Eggerprompt was prompt and very helpful in converting a problem file. Highly recommend this useful app.
My startup has been using this product to convert large Access datasets to SQL for 2 years. It has never let us down.It is fast and easy to use. The SQL exports work perfectly.
I need to open an access database on my mac. It opened it immediately and I was able to then export the files to a csv. I am so impressed with this product! It saved me a ton of time. Thank you!
The absolute easiest way to export an entire Access DB into something more accessible (I predominantly convert stuff to SQLite using this tool). Sold work
This app does a great job of not only letting you view and seach MS Access .accdb files, but it also converts the tables to CSV files, SQL files, MS Excel files and full SQLite database. Great tool!
Did a simple comparison between MS Access (Windows) and MDB ACCDB Viewer (Mac). My file contains 5 tables of which 4 were displayed identically. However, two columns in the 5th table were displayed with integer numbers not even close to the original file content.Looks like a nice software but the result is not reliable.
It would be great if the description had indicated it doesn’t support encrypted ACCDB files. We are unable to open the file.
Didn't load my data; this is a scam
