Log your meals. Apple Health adds the rest: workouts and weigh-ins land next to your meals, and weight, water and meal estimates can go back. Free to connect.
The food diary you'll actually keep.
A photo is enough. MealSnap turns it into a meal entry with a description, useful tags, and an honest calorie estimate shown as a range. You get a useful record without searching a database, weighing food, or typing every ingredient.
WORKS WITH APPLE HEALTH
Log your meals. Apple Health adds the rest. Connect it once, and the workouts and weigh-ins you already record show up in your diary next to the meals of the same day, with no extra typing. Body fat, height and waist come in too, and Apple Watch workouts keep their effort rating. You choose what goes back to Health: your weight and body measurements, water, and the estimated energy of each meal. If you allow it, your weekly and monthly reviews can take your workouts and measurements into account. That setting stays off until you turn it on.
SEE WHAT YOUR DIARY IS TELLING YOU
Logging should help you understand what changes. Weekly and monthly AI reviews look across your meals, timing, hunger, fullness, drinks, and activity. Each review focuses on one pattern worth noticing, with an optional idea to try when your diary supports it. The guidance stays calm and optional.
FIT TRACKING AROUND YOUR DAY
Start a meal from a Home Screen widget, Control Center, or Siri. Add photos from your library or send them from any app with the Share Sheet. Eating the same thing again? Long-press an entry to log it again, already filled in. Find past meals in Spotlight. On iOS 27, point Visual Intelligence at a plate to find similar meals from your diary.
KEEP THE CONTEXT THAT MAKES FOOD MAKE SENSE
Note hunger and fullness. Keep drinks, activity, body measurements, body photos, and day ratings beside your meals. Over time, see how your meal timing, calories, weight, drinks, and activity change.
SHARE THE FULL PICTURE
Choose a date range and send it as a link or print-quality PDF when a nutritionist, coach, or someone you trust wants to understand the full picture.

Great app ! Id love to see a friends feature where user can add selected friends and mutually view each other’s meal dairies including meal photos calories and macros This feature would make mealsnap much more useful and motivating !

Thanks! A shared diary with friends is a great idea, and we'll consider it. Today, MealSnap Pro lets you send a friend a link to the days you choose. They see those meals with photos and calorie estimates in any browser, without an account.
Don’t waste your 1.99

If I could give it zero stars I would, it does none of the things the description says it does. The only profile info you can put in are birthdate, height and weight, but no matter how many times I put in my weight and try to save it, it doesn’t. I couldn’t contact customer service because I have no email set up, but there is no way to set up an email with this useless app. So basically the only thing this app does is let you take pictures of what you eat. If you can see this review ( seeing it says it has like 13 reviews and it only shows one that is flattering to them, probably wrote it themselves) keep scrolling and don’t waste your time or money on this one.

Jessica, sorry to hear that you are disappointed with the app. You can get a refund from Apple for 90 days after the purchase via your App Store app.
Thank you for simplicity

Finally! A food photo diary app that is just that. All I want is a visual reminder of what I ate. I don’t want to count calories or enter macros or data or whatever. Just a photo presented in a clean, simple, calendar format. The only thing I’d want to see is ability to share it with friends so we could watch each other’s habits and maybe comment to stay motivated.
Developer Response
Thanks for your feedback! Now this feature is available, you can share you diary with friends or a nutritionist. So far it is view-only and doesn't allow you to comment. We are trying to find a way to add more social features in the app
so helpful

i can keep track of what i’m eating by snapping a quick pic and having it all logged in one place without having to fill up my actual camera roll. i just wish there was more space to write notes/commentary on different meals just to keep track of recipes or how i’m feeling each day in general. there is a small space to do so, though, so i am pretty happy. best app i’ve been able to find!
Developer Response
Thanks, and the note space grew. In MealSnap 3.0 the meal description is a full multi-line field, so a recipe or a comment fits. For how the day felt there is a separate day-rating entry with a reflection field, and each meal has hunger and fullness sliders.
MealSnap now works with Apple Health, plus a few things you asked for.
Apple Health
• Connect Apple Health in Settings. Workouts, weight, body fat, height and waist arrive as diary entries, next to your meals.
• Apple Watch workouts show their effort rating.
• Choose what goes back to Health: weight and body measurements, water and the estimated energy of each meal.
• Weekly and monthly reviews use your Health data only if you turn that on. It's off until you do.
Also new
• Tap a meal photo to see it full screen and zoom in.
• Same meal, drink or activity again? Long-press the entry to log it again, already filled in.
• The camera switches to macro up close, focuses where you tap, and has a flash setting.
• A photo added to a meal later now counts toward its calorie range.
• Choose when Rate Your Day reminds you.
• Settings shows your Pro plan, its renewal date and Manage Subscription.
• Write to us from Settings › Help & Support, with diagnostics attached if you like.
• When a purchase or restore fails, MealSnap tells you why and what to do next.
• MealSnap now sends us usage analytics and a short report when something fails, so we can fix problems nobody wrote in about. Never your meals, notes or photos. You can turn this off in Settings › Help & Support.
Privacy policy updated: Gemini now helps recognize meals (never used for training), plus Apple Health and deleting entries. mealsnap.app/privacy
