A Mecsek Discovery Center (MDC) a Mecsekerdő Zrt. ökoturisztikai látogatóközpontja, mely az erdei iskolai oktatás mellett lehetőséget kínál a Mecsek természeti és kultúrtörténeti értékeinek megismerésére, felfedezésére.
Ebben nyújt segítséget ez az applikáció is, amely egyrészt az erdőben - Mókus tanösvény -, másrészt az MDC épületében kialakításra került MecseXplorer kiállításon kalauzol végig sok játékkal, interaktív módon.
A tanösvény túra során megismerhetjük középhegységeinkben előforduló legjellemzőbb madárfajainkat, megláthatjuk egy kicsit a fáktól az erdőt, vagy épp felfedezhetjük kiknek a lábnyomát rejti a dagonya. Mindebben Mókus Attis lesz segítségünkre!
A MecseXplorer kiállítás a Mecseket, mint a térség kiemelkedő természeti és turisztikai látványosságát a lehető legátfogóbb módon kívánja bemutatni az ideérkezők számára. Az applikációban lévő kiállítótéri tartalmak néhol kiegészítésként szolgálnak a fizikai installációkhoz, másutt pedig kérdésekkel igyekeznek felhívni azokra a figyelmet. A kiállítás egyes részein AR tartalmakat is előhívhatunk általa.
