No Direct Customer Service
My app was working fine for several months and all of a sudden my travel partner (shipmate) disappeared from the App. It is impossible to speak with anyone in Tech Support. All they do is generate a ticket then you have to wait for a call back. What if they call when you are unavailable to take the call. How do you get back in touch with them at that point. My cruise is in a few weeks and this system is totally unacceptable.
Another problem is that if you place a cruise on hold it immediately populates in the App. It should only do that if a deposit is paid. After that cruise appeared that’s when my Shipmate disappeared. I canceled the cruise and it is no longer on the App but still can’t get Shipmate to reappear on my existing booking.
Please fix your App Support system.

Hoping that I like the lanyard
My sister and I are going on our second cruise together with Princess. I am ocean ready and have ordered each of us lanyards for our medallions. I really wish there were more accessories to choose from! I would have loved a coffee mug, instead of a water bottle. Also, it would have been fun if the lanyard could be personalized. I chose milestones, because none of the other ones were applicable. But seriously, I think the milestones lanyard is kind of ugly. But I wanted to do something special for our 2nd trip.
Not ready for prime time
After experiencing the use of the app on the ship and after visiting the Princess “Navigators” (the cruise line’s tech support), it became apparent that this app along with the companion app, Ocean Compass, are absolutely not stable. The app, without warning, would crash and/or have me login at least multiple times in an effort to keep trying to make it a wonderful passenger tool. That in itself was a major frustration. And what is really frustrating is that both apps drain battery power at a much higher percentage than any other app I have on my iPhone 7. 20% battery usage for MedallionClass and 44% for OceanCompass after just 2 ½ hours of use and/or running in the background when not being used. Also, depending on where I am on the ship (such as Princess Theatre), the search for friends onboard would just fail. Somehow I get the feeling that the developers did not beta test these two apps.
