MediaOrganizer gives you one clear and repeatable workflow for processing photos and videos collected across folders, external drives, backups, cameras, phones, scanned collections, and Apple Photos libraries.
Start with the archive you already have. Check that your media is usable, restore important information when it is missing, and organize everything into a clear folder structure based on dates and locations. Whenever new photos or videos arrive, use the same workflow again to keep your archive consistent over time.

• Bring scattered media together
Process photos and videos from folders, drives, backups, exported libraries, deeply nested directories, and Apple Photos libraries. MediaOrganizer works with copies from Photos without changing the original library.
• Validate before organizing
Identify unreadable, damaged, incomplete, or unsupported media before it becomes part of your organized archive. Files requiring attention are separated for review instead of being silently discarded.
• Organize using the information already in your files
MediaOrganizer reads capture dates, media types, GPS information, and other metadata to create a predictable folder structure. Duplicates, files without location information, and other exceptions remain available for review.
• Recover missing locations
Recover Location looks for nearby media from the same period that already contain GPS information. It evaluates the best candidates automatically and lets you review them before applying the recovered location.
• Add the places and dates you remember
Old and scanned photos often contain memories that the file itself cannot describe. You—or someone in your family—may recognize the place, the event, or the original date.
Add Location lets you return that knowledge to the photo or video. Once the missing context is added, MediaOrganizer can place the file where it belongs in your organized archive.

MediaOrganizer is not limited to a one-time organization. Use it again for new trips, family events, phone imports, camera folders, recovered disks, scanned photos, or additional Photos libraries. Each new batch follows the same workflow and the same organization rules.
You can preview your media and the proposed changes before processing. Progress remains visible, results are logged, and difficult cases stay reviewable.
PRIVATE AND LOCAL ON YOUR MAC
Your photos and videos are processed directly on your Mac. MediaOrganizer does not upload your media, require an account, collect analytics, or lock your archive into a proprietary catalog.
The resulting files remain accessible through Finder and can continue into Apple Photos, Lightroom, digital asset management systems, backup workflows, or future migrations.
