Mediasite Mosaic 4+

Last week, I would have given this app a higher rating. That was because it worked. This week it has started crashing and losing files. I am running Catalina OS 10.15.5.

Thank you for your comments. Have you tried contacting your organization’s Mediasite administrator about this issue? If they can’t assist directly, we recommend they open a case with our Customer Care department for further investigation.

I was hoping that this product would work on my new M1 mabook air, but sadly it appears that with Big Sur, this product will not work. I suspect it's because of the 64-bit OS, but what is super odd is that it opens up fine, but I cannot register / sign-in, nor can I start recording anything. It just has all of those options greyed out, so it's all but useless.

Thank you for the feedback. The app does work on Big Sur, and on M1 Macs. The registration process is done via the My Mediasite page, not through the app itself. Instructions can be found at the bottom of this article - https://support.sonicfoundry.com/knowledge/article/000004095. The recording options will be grayed out until your devices are selected and accessible. If your devices aren't showing under the buttons at the top of the app, you may need to allow access to them. In the Mac System Preferences, go to Security & Privacy -> Privacy, and then choose either Camera or Microphone. Make sure Mosaic has been granted permission to access the devices. Hope that helps!

I was using the 32 bit version which was excellent. My laptop needed to be updated and with Catalina the older version stopped working. As prompted I downloaded this version and it is awful. The video glitches and stalls. There are no longer the myriad of choices to do a variety of types of desktop recording. As a Uni professor, this WAS my go-to desktop recorder for lectures but not with this version. It's awful.
