I bought this thinking it would be a big help. It advertises that the words it teaches are mostly greek and latin in origin but then does not include which words are latin and or greek. Also there are not as many words, prefixes and suffix as there could be. There is much room for improvement on this app. I suppose it can help get a general idea of some words to at least know what they are but I would look else where until this program gets an update or too.. It is over priced even at 3$. Should be free for how basic it is. I personally woud have paid much more for a better program.

Why would you need to know if the word is Greek or Latin based? It sounds like you need a Greek-to-English or Latin-to-English dictionary if that's your goal.

The goal here is simply to show how medical terms are derived from root words with prefixes and suffixes. Once you understand that, you should be able to easily ascertain what a medical professional is talking about (or use it as a study guide if you are pursuing a career in that field.)

For example (see the screenshots) if you know "endo" means within and "proct" means rectum, you would have an idea of what that means if the words are combined.
