About Medito Foundation
We are Medito Foundation. We are a non-profit organisation, and we believe meditation can positively transform our lives. No one should have to pay for it. We are dedicated to helping people cope better with depression, stress, anxiety, and any other negative state of mind.
Practising meditation can help reduce anxiety and stress as well as improve attention, sleep and general well-being. We are committed to providing a free meditation app because meditation should not be behind a paywall.
What is the Medito app?
As mentioned above, mindfulness can help reduce anxiety & stress, enhance cognition, attention & memory, improve sleep, improve general wellbeing, and a lot more.
You can harness these benefits using the simple practice of meditation.
We are building an app for people who want to learn how to be more mindful or to deepen their meditation practice. You can learn how to meditate, discover different meditation techniques such as loving-kindness meditation, mantra meditation, mindfulness of breathing meditation and walking meditation.
What about sleep?
Sleep plays a vital role in good health and well-being throughout your life. Getting enough quality sleep at the right times can help protect your mental health, physical health, quality of life, and safety. We are frequently adding sleep content in the Medito app to help you (hopefully) sleep better and have a more restful sleep.
For now, you can discover techniques to help you fall asleep and sleep better, such as Progressive muscle relaxation, mindful breathing, visualisation, and body scan meditation. Soon we'll be adding free sleep sounds, free sleep stories, and more free sleep meditations to help you improve your sleep! Yes, all for free, forever.
Medito covers a wide variety of meditation content, including:
- A beginner course
This beginner course will give you a good basis for developing a regular meditation routine. You will find plenty of guidance, and we will introduce a few philosophical concepts to help you deepen your practice.
- Intermediate course
Similar to the beginner meditation course, with less guidance and more philosophical concepts, it will help you get deeper into meditation and improve your wellbeing.
- Daily meditations
- Body scan meditations
- Sleep meditations
- Mantra meditations
- Loving-kindness meditations
- Breathing exercises
- Meditation timer
-Stress and Anxiety pack
This pack is designed to help you manage stress and anxiety. Mindfulness meditation can help us deal with these negative emotions by transforming the way we experience them, diminishing their power over us. In this pack we'll introduce the "labelling" technique, to help us become more mindful of our thoughts and feelings.
- Walking meditations
- Meditating with great thinkers
- A compassion course
- Sleep stories

The Best for Meditation / No BS
I hate other apps like Headspace because every feature is behind a paywall and it doesn’t seem genuine. Real life meditation centers do not harass you for money but rather ask for a donation of your choosing. Medito is similar. It feels genuine and unassuming. It doesn’t feel like a company trying to make a buck by commercializing meditation. I wish I had found this app sooner, it isn’t featured on any of the main pages for health and lifestyle and that is because Apple can’t profit from this app. As soon as I began using it I actually WANTED to make a donation because it is so amazing and was created by volunteers. The UI is calming in itself and does not have pop-up ads or anything like the other paid apps that have made me apprehensive towards meditation in the past. Thank you for making Medito!
I had to write a review
I don’t usually write reviews, but there are a few apps that come along that are need-to-haves. This is one of them. It is genuinely 100% completely free with 0 in-app purchases. There are tons of guided meditations and information about meditation. Yes, the app is not perfect, but for being put together completely by volunteers, it is pretty darn great. And because it is put together by volunteers and is free, you know they just genuinely want to help people, which this app undoubtedly has helped me and will help many people. All I want to say is If you are even somewhat interested in meditation, this is the app to use.
Practice and Follow-Through
For the first time in a long time, I’ve adapted a practice and followed through with it for an extended period of time. I’m currently on day 47 of my newly formed meditation practice using Medito. The immediate effects on my life have been tremendous. I strongly recommend this for beginners, especially those seeking to cultivate a daily practice. My favorite meditations included the Loving Kindness series, and the intermediate course. Thanks Medito!
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
