More solutions needed
The only reason I gave this app two stars is that I was able to register my phone number and my CareLink account without a hitch. My problem, however; is that all the training and education materials the app provides are merely sections extracted from the 670G users manual. I’ve read the users manual several times and, although it does provide a lot of useful information, it doesn’t provide anywhere near the breadth and depth of information that users need to adequately manage the 670G system. I don’t want to get into all the problems that I’ve encountered with the 670G and associated CGM sensors here as this is just a review of the app. I’ll reserve final judgment until after I’ve had an opportunity to communicate with my assigned “coach” via chat. I’m not confident that things will change though as the techs at the 24hr help line have done little to help me manage the screwed up algorithms in this system. If they are able to address my concerns I’ll be happy to revise my review. Thanks.
App seems to have just stopped. I was able to use it earlier to message, but now it won’t work. It scheduled me for training that I’ve already done and I can’t cancel it. I disabled notifications, but I’m still getting them. The tech with this app is awful, not useful at all. Would be more helpful if my pump info showed up here, but alas Medtronic can’t seem to keep pace with growing technology. The 670g pump is awesome, it’s the coordinating and support tech that needs a ton of work. A TON.
Recent update = broken app
I understand from Medtronic that the recent update that asks for mobile number has made it impossible to use. It sure would have been nice to hear about this from Medtronic instead of me having to send multiple emails asking about this problem. I'm know now that Medtronic is aware of the problem but it does concern me that since the broken update, I have still received a rightstart email letting me know that new info has been added to my account! I feel like I should have instead received an email that told me that app wasn't working and approximate date I could expect it to be fixed! I'm not an app expert, but can't they send out another "update" that is actually the older version of the app that works until they can fix this new one??
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
