MeetingBar 4+

I was looking for an App that would show me how long I had until my next meeting, and give me a simple way to join remote meetings. That's it. Why? Because I was finding myself running late to meetings because I'd ignore my Calendar reminder that fired 5 minutes beforehand. 5 minutes was long enough for me to get distracted with something else. Setting my reminders to "At time of event" meant I was already late.

MeetingBar is exactly what I was wanting. It is non-fussy app, but still has all of the features I wanted. It allows me to have a non-obtrusive reminder of my upcoming meetings hanging out in my menubar, adjust the character limit of the menubar text, add a custom reminder of 1 minute before my meetings, and offer a one-click way of joining remote meetings. Simple, yes. But exactly what I wanted.

MeetingBar is actually much more useful than it'd seem. It delivers in that you can see when your next meeting is but the auto-opening meeting functionality is the thing I like most by far. It automatically opens my meetings for Google Meet which makes it as easy as possible to join meetings on time without forgetting or being distracted.

I was looking for a utility that would show the currently active calendar event in the status bar. This goes above and beyond my needs in a good way, not getting too bloaty with pop-out calendar views and other things that attempt to claim all of your calendar needs. It's a simple utility with a defined purpose and honestly a huge bump to my productivity. I'd pay money for this.
