  • What is this? ANOTHER AMAZING APP!!!!

Ok so for too long have I accumulated crap in my cubbards wondering if I will ever use them...worse yet...what to use them for. Or go to the store and want to make something, and wonder if I have the ingredients...not knowing I buy everything just to find out I already had 1/2 of it at home...just accumulating more crap. Or even worse...forget to pick something up and make the 2nd...or 3rd trip to the store. NOT ANY MORE!!! Now I find an app that keeps track of what I have, put it together into meals, and gives ideas for that over-stocked-crap in my cubbards that I would eventually meat the expiration date to the doom of the garbage. But only if the app would tell you where to get it cheapest...and save your favorite stores. THINK AGAIN!!! It does already!!! That's right...if I can think of it, than obviously Alam has already!! Dude - - great app man, I work with your sister and she told me about this app today...I had to check it out and bought it. Already loading my meals and noticed it even syncs with my iPad version of the app! You can import recipes and scan barcodes...freaking thought of everything! I've seen the quality of the work Audrey does with coding, and am equally amazed with yours, must run in your family!! Great job man!

  • Best menu planning app EVER

    Rozzle33

I have tried several apps for menu planning and have found myself attempting to use several different apps because no single app met all my meal planning needs....until now! I have found the many features and simple, user friendly interface amazing!! Instead of having to type in each ingredient for the recipes I have been collecting, I merely find it online and in about thirty seconds it's a part of my recipe repertoire! Entering family recipes is a snap since ingredient suggestions start popping up as soon as i start typing. When it comes to shopping or keeping track of pantry items, there is none better. It even helps me develop my grocery budget- a must for us in this economy! I had previously downloaded 12+ apps attempting to make my meal planning easier. I have to admit feeling that each one I had tried actually made my life more complicated...until I found Menu Planner. There really are too many features to name them all here, but i can happily say that this has been the best use of money I've spent in the app store. Thanks guys. I'm so impressed with your app, I was motivated to write my first review.

  • I've tried the rest, this is the best

I've tried several recipe keepers, meal planners and shopping lists, and this is by far the best one, not only because it is all three combined but because all three functions actually work together. I don't use the pantry function but I'm quite sure that feature is just as great for those that keep a well stocked and organized party as part of their lifestyle. I just swipe off stuff I know I have. If you plan your meals every week and make shopping list based on those meals and what you have on hand and like to collect recipes, THIS IS the tool you need. Like to organize your recipes by your own categories? It's got that. Want your store list organized by your own categories or aisle in your actual supermarket, different stores, or even multiple stores? It's got that. Want to be able to add stuff that is not part of your meal plan, yup. You can do that. How about stuff you buy every week? Yup, that too. I could go on and on. Oh and the recipes can have a picture and you can even upload pics of your own dishes! It's the best really.

  • Must have for the stay at home dad.

I really enjoy this program. The layout is great and easy to navigate. No more "Crap, i forgot to take 'insert frozen product name here' out to thaw," and I love being able To add pictures to the recipes. There's little that I would add and it would be personal preferences, not necessary to use this great program Maybe a "overnight" or just a notification option that would cause a notification on the phone 24 hours or 12 hours(or a customizable amount of time) before the meal to remind me to marinade or set a casserole in the fridge overnight. I also thought from time to time I need something that isn't in my lists and I only need it this one time. If there was a text field on the list screen that would add a one time category to the shopping list with the item(s) that is typed there in that category. Also add quantities on everything and interact them so when a recipe is made inventory for the ingredients used goes down and vise versa while shopping. After items are purchased the amount in the pantry would go up by the quantity set on the shopping list.

  • So Frustrating Now

This app used to be awesome. It wasn't super pretty, but the features were all I needed and it worked great with very few exceptions. Now with the "facelift" my shopping list and pantry aren't communicating anymore. Every week before my grocery run, I try to add something to my shopping list, like bread. Something that I've been adding to my list and has been in my "pantry" forever, and the list won't recognize it. It gives me the option to add it for one time, but it has no category, and just adds it to the bottom of the list, so I'm wandering all over the store because I missed picking up bread when I was in the bread aisle. When I go back to my pantry, the item is there, but from there I can't add it to my shopping list. It does not do this with every item, just a handful of items each time I use the app.I've about had it.The only thing keeping me from just getting a different app is that 1) I spent good money on it when I purchased it a few years ago, and 2) it takes so dad-gum long to build up your recipes, shopping list, and pantry. Very frustrating.

  • truly a life saver!

This is THE app that I have been looking for. As a busy mom, I am forever plagued by the "what to have for dinner/pack for the kids' lunches" syndrome. When I do decide what to make, I have to wonder if I have the ingredients, or where I stashed the recipe. Is it in a book? On a website somewhere? This app takes all the online recipes and puts them neatly in one place. As for the cookbook recipes, I'm slowly adding them as I use them. I love the calendar, where I can add items for lunches and dinners on a rotation basis, and every monday before I go shopping, I simply print out my shopping list. (I still like a piece of paper to check things off). That way I know I will have whatever I need for the week's menus. I have not bothered to inventory my pantry, rather when a shopping list is generated, I quickly check off the items i know off the top of my head that I already have. Real brilliance went into designing this. My husband is an IT strategy partner for a big four firm, and even he was impressed...way to go!
