Never Can Have TMI ...

Sitting back there, taking up a whopping 0.3-0.5 percent of my resources (grin), sits MenuBar Stats - offering up-to-the second information and details about my 13” MacBook Air. From WiFI status, to Memory and CPU use, Temperature of 13 intimate areas of my computer, and status of Fans, Disks, and Battery. If you ever need support, he is there and will quickly reply to your inquiries. But for the most part, it’s all right there. I needed to “find” “SMC Helper” to enable Temp and Fan Info - but it is right there in Preferences. Diehard Apple devotees may declare none of this is necessary - just use your Macs. But I find having all that intimate info and stats “comforting.” Well-designed app - wouldn’t own a Mac without it.

I've been using thisapp for quite a while now. The latest update ads a module for the Notification Center AHEAD of Apple discontuing widgets intead of waiting until after the OS change. On top of that, it's very nicely implemented. The options in MBS are almost limitless - from functionality to appearance. The processor impact is all-but-negligible. It's far more efficient than any competitors I tried (that was a primary concern for me). The developer is EXTERMELY responsive and very thorough. Clearly knows his stuff.I'm just all-around impressed with this application all this time later. Very nicely done

Do Not Install On M1 Macs

Thought this app looked promissing. However, after installing started having issues on my M1 Macbook pro 16 inch. When I wanted to delete it i could not find it in my applications anywhere. I could only find it by searching for it. Once i did locate it i couldnt delete it because it kept saying it was in use even though i had quit it multiple times. I finally actually had to go into the folder and just delete everything in the folder, restart my mac, and then quickly remove the folder before it got stuck again.Also, NONE of the menu bar notifications would show up in my menu bar which is what prompted me to try to unsinstall it in the first place. I'm not sure what this was doing in the background to cause so many issues but i would not recomment installing this app.

Thought this app looked promissing. However, after installing started having issues on my M1 Macbook pro 16 inch. When I wanted to delete it i could not find it in my applications anywhere. The app does everything that I want. In particular I wanted something that would give network, disk, and fan/heat stats.The support modules to give the fan details inparticular displayed a message that it needed to be installed in the /Applications folder to work. Even after putting it there and updating owner and group just to make sure it still displayed that message in red implying to me that something was wrong.I contacted the developer and he responded within 48 hours and offered to me that the message still appears sometimes in macOS Catalina and to check the box in it anyway. I did that and the supplemental module worked as expected.Thank you to the author for such a quick and informative response. Truly above and beyond professionalism.I highly recommend this app. Works perfectly and the presentation is very easy to ready and asthetically pleasing. The widgets work great as well.
